Traditional Ground Burial

Whether you choose burial or cremation, selecting a permanent memorialization location is an important component of your final arrangements, and a lasting legacy to leave your loved ones. Cherokee Memorial Park offers a wide selection of beautifully designed gardens that honor the memories of loved one's at affordable prices. The spacious natural garden settings encourage a meaningful and personal memorialization of your loved ones.

Ground Burial is the traditional choice, which has been with the American culture since before the birth of our nation.

Ground Burials normally consist of five components:

  • A Gravesite, also known as a grave space, plot, land or property
  • A Casket as the final resting container for the deceased
  • A "Vault" or "outer burial container" in which the Casket is placed
  • A Bronze or Granite Marker with information about the life of your loved one
  • A wide range of services from the Traditional Funeral Service with a Visitation (an opportunity to sign the guest book, view the deceased and visit with the family), Graveside Service, Celebration of Life or Memorial Services.

Above Ground Burial

Cherokee Memorial has beautiful Sierra View Mausoleum, Temple of Memories and Last Supper Mausoleum for above ground interment. Please see our Mausoleum page for information.

Immediate Burial

Cherokee Memorial Park also arranges for an Immediate Burial, which consists of the burial done at the completion of the permitting process. This is typically completed without the presence of the family although arrangements can be made for the witnessing of the burial.

On-Going Care

Through a one-time charge for Endowment Care, Cherokee Memorial Park bestows respect for those interred and for their families by setting up a fund to take care and maintain the beauty and tranquility of our grounds for generations to come.

Veteran Services

Knowledge of Veterans Burial Benefits and Military Funeral Honors is just one reason so many veteran families choose Cherokee Memorial Park. The staff takes great pride in providing veterans with respectful, dignified funerals and burials befitting of their service to our country.

Cherokee Memorial Park's natural beauty, chapels and inspirational statuary provide the perfect surroundings for visiting the final resting place of a loved one.
