Mausoleums

A mausoleum is traditionally considered to be an external building constructed as a monument enclosing the entombment space or burial chamber of a deceased person or persons. Mausoleums offer the dignity, permanence and beauty of aboveground burial. They also offer a unique historical benefit as they offer documentation of individual lives.

Historical Mausoleums

Historically, Mausoleums were larger with more impressive construction for a leader or other person of notoriety or fame. Mausoleums are still used for that purpose today to varying degrees. Adding today's popularity, larger and beautifully built Community Mausoleums and Private Mausoleums offer a unique family tradition and heritage.  It is easy to understand why Mausoleums are an important part of any family's grieving process.

Cherokee Memorial Park offers both Community Mausoleums and Private Rooms for family entombment and private memorialization.
