Henry Hank Buchmiller

June 3, 1929 – February 22, 2010

 

 

Henry HANK Buchmiller, 80 of Lodi, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, passed away on February, 22, 2010.  He was born on June 3, 1929 in Colby, Kansas.  Hank was the youngest of ten children.  He was a journeyman plasterer for 63 years, started plastering at the age of 17.  He started his own company at the age of 40, Buchmiller Plastering, and retired in December 2009 at the age of 80.

Hank was an avid big game hunter for 55 years.  He especially enjoyed his trips to Colorado and Idaho.  He was a pro motorcycle racer.  He sponsored all youth and adult sports activities.  He served in the National Guard during the Korean Conflict.  He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Buchmiller, mother Sarah Buchmiller, brothers Otto, Rudy, Alvin and Dave; sisters Verbena, Freida, Linda and Lorretta.

Hank leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Alice Buchmiller and their three children: Rhonda (Dennis) Johnson, Kenneth (Pam) Buchmiller and Deana Buchmiller all of Lodi.  Grandfather of seven: Jeanne Dowie, Jason Rader, Melissa O’Meara, Julia Otto, Tera Taylor, Mike Buchmiller and Kenny Buchmiller.  Great Grandfather of 17: Tayton, Dayln, Ty, Bryce, Ayden, Auston, Jonathan, Devin, Trevor, Gaven, Payton, Gracie, Mike, Dillion, Riley, Braden and Carson.  Brother of Helen Silva of Modesto.  Also survived by five nephews and four nieces. 

Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 1 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park.  Pastor Jim Winchester officiating.  Entombment  in Sierra View Mausoleum.   Visitation hours Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way at Beckman Rd., Lodi.
