Dorothy Lang
Dorothy Lang, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away peacefully on February 25, 2010 at the age of 94. She was born in West Point, Nebraska on March 13, 1915. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Lang, son Mark Lang and was the last survivor of 5 children.
She is survived by her children Doug (Julie) Lang, Sharon (Bill) Woods, Michael (JoAnn) Lang, 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, bingo, baseball, card playing and word puzzles. Dorothy was known for her warm smile and caring for others, never complaining and always having a kind word for those who knew her and she will be missed by all. She was an active member of St Paul Lutheran Church.
Dorothy was a homemaker, and was devoted totally to her family, children and grandchildren throughout her life. Her grandchildren were the pride and the spirit of her life in later years. Dorothy was forever attending any and all events for the grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 1st, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, near Beckman Road, Lodi.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St Paul Lutheran Church, 701 S. Pleasant Ave, Lodi on Tuesday, March 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. Committal will be private.
