Wanda Bednarek

Wanda Bednarek-Mendoza,age 87 passed away on February 22,2010. She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on September 8,1922 to Frank J. Zdunek and Rose A. Markwas.  She has been a resident of the Stockton area for the past five years.  Wanda was a loving mother of 5 children: Michael J., David P., Colleen M., Jefferey T., and Peter C. Bednarek. She will be remembered as a kind, generous mother who always had a loving smile. She loved traveling and gardening and will be missed by all who knew her. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Dawn, Jennifer, Nate, Ryan, Vernon, Brittany, Vincent, Ava and 2 great grand children: Megan and Rebecca.  Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband Robert L. Bednarek in 1975 and her second husband Benjamin S. Mendoza in 2005. A memorial mass will be held on at 1:00 pm on Friday March 5th at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 5882 N. Ashley Lane, Stockton, CA 95215-9308.
