Barbara Ann Johnson

Barbara Ann Johnson, 77, of Stockton passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010.  She was born in Jasper, MN on December 15, 1932 and moved to Lodi at the age of 4 with her family.  She graduated from Lodi High School as a part of the class of 1950 and attended San Jose State University for 2 years.  After leaving school Barbara worked for American Trust, which later became Bank of Stockton. There she met her future husband Leslie Johnson. 
After raising her family Barbara returned to the work force caring for children of Students at Lincoln High School in “The Cottage” where she worked for 15 years. 
A resident of Lincoln Village West, she was active in the community where she was named a Paul Harris fellow of Rotary International.  In her later years she has lived at O’Connor Woods where she leaves many friends.
Survivors include, two daughters, Lesley Johnson Wenstrom (Marlon) of Granite Bay, CA and Kristi Johnson of Stockton, two grandchildren and one sister Joyce McMurray of Stockton.  Her husband Leslie Johnson precedes her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Evergreen Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Park.  There will be no visitation at her request and Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
