Maxine Cecelia McWilliams
Maxine Cecelia McWilliams, age 87, of Stockton, CA passed away on July 11, 2010 in Stockton.
She was born November 7, 1922 in Lebanon, Kansas. She graduated from Denver High School in Colorado. Maxine was a loving housewife, and lived with her husband in Los Angeles and Paradise, CA, where he operated auto body shops. After a move to Galt, where she became a long-time resident, she and her husband owned and operated a Mohawk Service Station on Highway 99. Beside her devotion to raising her family, she worked beside her husband in his business ventures.
She retired with her husband to Wilseyville, CA.
Maxine loved playing video poker, reading, sewing and using her metal finder. She also enjoyed traveling in their RV, especially in their retired years to the Salton Sea area for the winter and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Lewis B. McWilliams, and two sisters.
Maxine is survived by daughters Patricia Paul (husband Richard) of Silver City, NV,
Sandra Parsons (husband Spencer) of Stockton, and son Lewis M. McWilliams
(wife Barbara) of Lodi; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A Private Family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Maxine’s life.
