 There are two adults I regularly fished with when I was growing up: my Grandfather and Uncle Vincent. Uncle Vincent was clearly the most animated, amusing me with his most often exclaimed, “Modahi!” when upset at the fish who got away. Other than that, Uncle Vincent was often a quiet man. He always seemed to be listening and observing while he kept a smile on his face and a positive attitude. Uncle Vincent was a great presence in my life. Along with my other Aunts and Uncles, they taught me to want to be a great Father and Uncle. I am fortunate to have a beautiful daughter and seven wonderful nieces and nephews. If I can be the same kind of presence for them that my Uncle Vincent was for me, then I will consider it a great success. Thank you, Uncle. I miss you. Ian
