Norman Charles Morris

N. MorrisNorman Charles Morris was born in Pasadena, California, September 21, 1928. He died peacefully in his sleep after a 5 year struggle with Dementia on August 5, 2015. He was born to John and Esther Morris, long time residents of Galt. He taught school and was a pastor for the Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 60 years. He is survived by his 2nd wife Muriel Morris, his 3 children, Steve and Sharon Morris of Apison Tennessee, Sharan and Mike Murray of Yucaipa California, and Carol and Steve Davis of Carlsbad California, 7 Grandchildren, and 11 Great- Grandchildren.

SERVICES

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at The English Oaks Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1260 West Century Blvd, Lodi, CA .

Clyde McQueen

Clyde McQueenClyde (Gene) Eugene McQueen, 85, of Lodi, passed away August 4, 2015. Born October 2, 1929 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Grace and Clyde McQueen. He came to California with his wife Joyce and their son, following his father to work at Super Mold in 1951. In 1962, Clyde started work with Larson/Knutson Cottage Bakery, where he would stay for over 30 years. He could tell if a cake or pie was done by the touch. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and was a member of the Port Stockton Motorcycle Club. He loved to ride his motorcycle and go to the motorcycle races. Clyde was also a member of Lodi SIRS, and he loved to watch the San Francisco Giants and 49’ers. He loyally donated blood to the Delta Blood Bank until they told him to stop. Clyde’s family would like to thank Arbor Nursing and Lodi Wound Clinic staff for their compassionate care. Clyde will be missed by his three children, Michael (Vicki), Nancy (Scott), Brian (Jacki), his 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. His parents, first wife, Joyce, second wife, Jeannie, daughter, Mary Diacon, brothers, Wayne and Vernon, and sisters, Pauline and Betty, predecease him.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 and Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA 95240.

SERVICES

A  Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Chapel, Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, CA 95240.

Louise M. Snider

  Louise SniderLouise Snider passed away on August 2, 2015 in Lodi at the age of 93. Born in Sonora, on November 21, 1921,  she later met and married the man who would be her loving husband for nearly 71 years John R. Snider. They made their home in Modesto where they raised their two sons. Louise was dearly loved by those that knew her and very much enjoyed the company of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her 7 brothers and 4 sisters. Louise is survived by her husband John R. Snider, sons: Randy Snider (Jodie) and Stephen Snider (Judie) -all of Lodi; grandchildren: Todd Snider (Rebecca), Ashley Redanz (Will), and Kerrie Kennedy (Pat); and 3 great-grandchildren: Sterling, Sean, and Kash Curtice; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn Siffing

Glenn SiffingGlenn Siffing, age 79,  passed away peacefully on August 2,  2015 with the support of his family. Glenn is preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Garrigan Siffing and is survived by his children, Tamera Reichert  (Harry) of Colorado, Jon Siffing (Erin) of Utah, Michelle Stubblefield (CA) and Leah Larson (Eric), CA. Glenn was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. His humor, quick wit, will be remembered by family and friends. Glenn is also survived by his brother Charles (Chuck), 4 grandchildren, and 2 greatgrandaughters, 2 neices, 3 nephews, and 1 nephew/niece due early September.Please add Your condolences in  the comments below.

Florence M. Adolf

Florence AdolfFlorence M Adolf passed away on July 28, 2015 at a local hospital surrounded by her family at the age of 88. She was born in Lodi on February 14, 1927 to parents Semon Wagemann and Mary Wagemann Rott; living in Lodi her entire life. Florence worked for 35 years in Lodi and Stockton as a bookkeeper retiring from Pacific Coast Producers in 1989. After retirement she and her late husband Arthur enjoyed traveling in their RV across the United States and into Canada. She enjoyed being a member of The Lodi Bunch Travel Club and trips to local casinos.

Florence is survived by daughter JoAnne Porter, son Thomas Adolf (Wanda) of Lockeford and daughter Deborah Kafton (David) of Lodi. Four grandchildren; Colby Porter, Caleb Porter, Thomas Adolf Jr, D'Nell Kafton Parker and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Adolf (2003), son Terry Lee Adolf (2004). Also preceding her in death was her parents, sisters Bernice Wagemann and Lorraine Wiemken.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of their choice or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Avenue, Stockton California 95204.

Linda Ruth Hansen-Motz

Linda Ruth “Tiny” Hansen-Motz age 58 of Stockton, CA after a short and courageous battle with cancer passed away at home surrounded by her family.Linda was born in Lodi, July 21, 1957 to R. E. “Chick” and Dian Hansen. Linda and Gary Motz were married July 22, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada in the company of family and friends. Employed for the last 30 years by General Mills and a member of BCTGM Local 59G was not Linda’s only acomplishment’s.

She had owned and operated Chaps Restaurant and Bar on Cherokee Lane, was a longtime favorite bartender at Ollie’s, and worked at Flame Liquor’s . As a young lady Linda showed and enjoyed being a champion barrel racer, having a love for horses. During her marriage to Gary the two spent many fun and endless hours searching for their favorite antiques. Camping at the ocean Linda’s favorite spot was Wrights Beach near Bodega Bay. Most recently Gary and Linda docked their boat and RV at Ryer Island where Linda learned to fish, navigate the boat, and made many new friends. She had a green thumb for plants and her love for all animals, especially dogs was never ending. Linda was “that person” who could and would fix/repair or build any project before her. Having an out going personality and warm heart leaving only friends behind.

Survivors include husband Gary Motz of Stockton, grandson Gottleib “Gotti” Motz of Cottonwood, CA, sister Carla Brock of Stockton, sister Gail (Randy) Wilson of Hayden Lake, ID, father- in -law Roy Motz , and brother-in-law Ronald Motz both of Stockton, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Chick and Dian Hansen and sister Jean Hansen and mother-in-law Ellen Motz.

Donations in Linda’s memory can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin County or “PALS” of Lodi.
