Earl Schneider, Sr.

February 1, 1942 - March 13, 2021

Earl Leslie Schneider, Sr. passed away on March 13, 2021, in Stockton, CA.  Earl was born February 1, 1942, in French Camp, CA.  Earl spent his early years in Stockton, and then the family moved to a farm outside of Lodi.  Earl participated in Future Farmers of America, and graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1959.  After High School, Earl joined the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a helicopter mechanic.  Following his honorable discharge, Earl worked for the Carpenter’s Union for over 55 years.  He was known for his attention to detail and work ethics.  Earl enjoyed tinkering in his garage and hand crafting items. 

Earl is survived by his children:  Earl Leslie Schneider, Jr. (Deanna), Lesley D. Sette, (Joe); stepchildren, Stacie Gaska (Robert); Grandchildren:  Samantha Sette, Michael Sette, Jason Schneider (Meghan); great granddaughter, Evie Marie Schneider; his beloved sister, Susan Frey (Richard Zerga).  Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Schneider; his parents, Raymond Schneider and Katherine Klipfel; and great granddaughter, Alexandra Rose Sette.

SERVICES:

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 on Friday, March 26th, 2021, at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi, CA.  Viewing will be held prior to service at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA from 9:00 to 12:00.

Gary Schwinden

January 14, 1939 - March 12, 2021

On Friday, March 12, 2021, Gary N. Schwinden, loving partner, father, grandfather and Papa, passed away at the age of 82. Gary was born on January 14, 1939 in Stockton, CA to Joseph and Aura Schwinden.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969. He went on to become a successful businessman in the auto industry for over 30 years.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joseph and Aura (Calisti) Schwinden and sons Gary Jr., Jim Curry and Bill Curry.

He is survived by his long-time partner, DeDe Jones, daughter Debbie Dutschke, sister Rena George, and Ruby Schwinden. He has six grandchildren: Nick Schwinden III, Breanna Melendez (Anthony), Michael Curry (Melissa), Drake Dutschke, Andrew Curry and Josh Curry. He also has six great grand children, two nephews, and stepdaughter Phyllis Bowman and stepson George Maddox and many friends.

VISITATION

A visitation will be held on Tuesday March 23, 2021 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE

The graveside service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday March 24, 2021 at at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

Raymond Huggins

August 24, 1939 – December 12, 2020

Raymond Alonzo Huggins of Lodi, California passed away in Placer County at the age of 81 on December 12, 2020.  Raymond was born to Alonzo and Gracie Huggins at their home in Stockton, California on August 24, 1939.  He was one of five kids and the oldest son.  He was a Boy Scout, starting work at a very young age and developing a strong worth ethic.  He graduated form Lodi High School in 1958.  Raymond married Arlee Sked on December 1, 1962 and raised their three children together.  Raymond was a 60 year member of the IBEW Local 595(International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers).  He worked as an inside wireman.  Over the years he had to travel for work taking him to Pennsylvania, New York, and Nevada.  He provided a wonderful life for his wife and family.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing the Delta and many lakes in California.  He also enjoyed hunting in and out of the state and camping on the coast.  Ray and his brothers spent three decades watching the 49ers and tailgating at Candlestick park. 

He lived a fun filled life, enjoying his family and friends with a short one or a cold one.  His laugh and smile could brighten up any room.

Raymond is survived by his wife Arlee of 58 years, his son Greg(Vicki), daughter Suzanne(Ronnie), grandchildren Holly(Brian), Andrew, Briana, Shelby, Caden, and great-Grandsons Ryan and Finn, and his brothers Donald(Debby) and Ronald(Suzanne).  Raymond was loved by his nieces and nephews.

Raymond is preceded in death by his son Jeff, sister Juanita(Allen), brother Kenneth, and his best friend Moose of 13 years.

Raymond will forever be missed by all who loved him and called him friend.

 

Denise Holbo

October 15, 1947 - March 08, 2021

Denise Kathleen Holbo passed away on Monday, March 8th in Stockton, CA. She passed away peacefully at home, with her husband by her side. Denise was born on October 15th, 1947 in Sacramento, CA to Mae Modin Sickert and Dean L Sickert.

Her childhood was spent in the small town of Ione, CA where she graduated from Ione High School with her lifelong friends. After a short time studying Psychology at Delta College in Stockton, she married her sweetheart, Stephen L Holbo, also of Ione. Together, they shared a beautiful love story, lasting for more than 50 years.

Denise's hobbies included gardening, cooking, bowling with friends, and playing a friendly game of  cards. Although taking small jobs in Stockton at Parklane Elementary and Westlane Bowl, her most valued job was that of a homemaker. Neighborhood kids would gather at her house after school because they knew that she was always home for any type of support.

Along with her husband Stephen L Holbo, Denise is survived by her children Stephen W Holbo of  Stockton and Deanna M Holbo Ferrari of Placerville, their respective spouses Marielena Holbo and Craig R Ferrari, grandchildren Amanda Holbo, Hannah Holbo, Stephen D Holbo, Antonia Ferrari, Sebastian  Holbo, Vincent Ferrari, and Aurelia Ferrari, great-grandchildren, CJ and Bella Cruz, her uncle Keith Sickert, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She will forever be remembered in our hearts as one of the kindest and generous souls who has ever walked upon this Earth.

Marjorie Nichols

October 29, 1925 - March 07, 2021

Marjorie Isabella Nichols passed away at 95 years young in Lodi on March 7, 2021. She was born in Lodi on October 29, 1925 to Olga and Christian Knittel. She married Elmer Nichols in 1944 and they remained together 73 years until 2017 when Elmer passed away. At the time she was married she worked for Reynolds Nailing Co. with her late brother George Knittel.

Marjorie enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casinos, knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was always making something special for her family: afghans, sweaters, crocheted tablecloths, doilies, and baby clothes.

 She is survived by her 3 children: Dennis Nichols of Lodi, Gregory Nichols of Lodi, and Linda Nichols of Lockeford; 4 grandchildren: Jacob Nichols of Sacramento, Brian Nichols of Monterey, Cordell Abney of Houston, Texas, and Heather Nichols of Lodi; and 6 great-grandchildren: Kylha Nichols, Briana Abney, Weston Abney, Lucas Nichols, Henri Nichols, and Olivia Nichols.

 Private Graveside services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Craig Wells

February 27, 1959 - March 07, 2021

Craig W. Wells was born on February 27, 1959 in Stockton, California and passed away at the age of 62 on March 7, 2021. He passed away from complications from a fall attributed to Parkinson's.

Craig attended school in Stockton and graduated from Lincoln High, San Francisco State, and UOP with a Masters degree. He took great pride working with companies such as Oracle, Apple, Amgen, and others as a Corporate Recruiter. Health issues caused him to retire in 2016.

Running was his passion and he ran from high school until his health no longer allowed. Craig was an avid sports fan with the Cal Bears being his favorite. He also loved the SF Giants and 49ers. He will now have the best seat in the stadium.

Craig met his wife Lisa on August 1, 1986 and they were married a year to the day they met in 1987. They were married for 33 years. Together they raised two children, Jennifer and Nicklaus.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, William Wells, and Evelyn Wells Condell. He is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter, Jennifer (Zak) Bruton; son, Nicklaus (Jessilyn) Wells; sister, Tami McGregor; and stepfather, Rodger Condell.

SERVICE
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 17th at 1:30 pm in the Garden of Freedom at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

Memorial gifts may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
