Visitation is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017 in Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi, CA 95240.

 

SERVICES

A Mass Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher's Catholic Church

 

INTERMENT

Burial will take place after the funeral at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Wayne D. Rogers

January 2, 1937 - April 5, 2017 Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rogers family.

Wayne passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2017. He served in the Navy at the end of the Korean conflict. He retired from Pacific Cost Producers of 32 years. Wayne enjoyed waterskiing, fishing, and camping. He was a faithful Forty Niners and San Francisco Giants fan that never missed watching the games on TV.

Wayne is survived by the love of his wife, Bobbi of 59 years, daughter Dana (Matt) Hayhurst, and son Doug (Doris) Rogers, and 4 grandchildren, Casey, Kristian, Makayla, and Katelyn.

A private ceremony was held on Tuesday April 11, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave, Stockton CA 95204 or American Legion Post 22, 320 Washington St., Lodi, CA 95240.

 

Irene Long

May 10, 1936 ~ April 3, 2017 Irene Louise Long, loving daughter of the late Steven and Margaret (Stagnaro) Sanguinetti, was born in Stockton, California on May 10, 1936. After a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease, Mrs. Long passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was 80 years old.

Irene grew up on her family’s ranch in Linden. She attended Everett Elementary School, St. Mary’s High School, and the Dominican College of San Rafael. Irene was a wonderful homemaker and served many delicious meals at family gatherings. Over the years, she had fun volunteering as a French Camp 4-H leader and as a Band Booster for East Union High School. Mrs. Long also enjoyed membership and activities in the California Women for Agriculture. Her favorite hobbies included playing the piano, and bowling and golfing with friends and family.

Mrs. Long was the beloved wife of the late William S. Long. They were married for 59 years. She is survived by her brother, Steve Sanguinetti, her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Richard Nassano, and her cherished grandson, Evan.

 

VISITATION

Visitation will be private.

SERVICES

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m, Monday, April 10, 2017  at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 18633 E. Front St., Linden CA.

 

 

 

 

Charles Clarence Orchard

December 25, 1925 - April 1, 2017 Charles "Chuck" Orchard passed away April 1st, 2017 of brain cancer. He was a loving husband, dad and papa. He was born December 25th, 1947 in Camden NJ. He graduated from Audubon High School in 1966 and joined the Navy after high school. He served on the USS Coral Sea and was honorably discharged September 1972. After being discharged he moved to Sacramento, CA where he received his Associates degree. He was married to his wife of 43 years in October of 1973. He retired from General Mills in 2009 after 33 years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and watching golf. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson Ryan.

Chuck was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillian. He is survived by his wife Joelyn; sons Daran (Jennifer) of Citrus Heights, CA and Christopher of Lodi, CA, grandson Ryan of Lodi, CA, sister Pat(Bill) of New Jersey, brother John (Sarah) of New Jersey, and many nephews and nieces.

VISITATION

Visitation will be Thursday April 6th, 2017 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. @ Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home (831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA 95240).

SERVICES

Funeral services will be Friday April 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Reformed Church (105 S Ham Lane, Lodi, CA 95240.) Burial will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. (Hwy 99 and Harney Ln, Lodi CA.) In lieu of flowers please make donations to Defeat GBM Reseach http://defeatgbm.org/
