Linda Marie Loveland was born and raised in Stockton, California, by parents Virginia and Albert Lovotti. She was little sister to brothers Paul (Teri) and John (Nancy) Lovotti, with whom she enjoyed a very close relationship in later years of life. Linda grew up loving the beach and The Beatles. She fell in love with one of her oldest brother’s baseball friends, Bryan (Tim) Loveland, and they were married for nearly 44 years. She was a stay-at-home mom to daughters Amanda (Colin) and Stephanie (Robert) for many years. Her professional life of over 20 years included working for Western Stone Products and Lodi Unified School District, most recently as a school secretary, until she retired in 2003. Linda was known as “Grammy” to grandchildren, Timothy (11), Mallory (9), and Amelia (4). One of her biggest joys was watching Timmy and Mallory play sports. Linda was also an avid collector, enjoyed watching her favorite shows, and, when she could travel, loved taking trips with Tim ranging from Cabo to Spring Training using their timeshare. Linda passed away peacefully on December 7, 2017. She will be sorely missed by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is honored to serve the Smith family.
