Larry Powell

March 21, 1949 - March 12, 2019


Larry J. Powell passed away March 12, 2019 in Stockton, CA at the age of 69. He was born in Stockton to O'Neva and Mart Powell, and attended local schools, graduating from Franklin High School. He continued his education at Sacramento State where he received his bachelor's degree. He worked for many years for the CA Youth Authority.

He is survived by his children Elysia "Lisa" Hagy and Aaron Powell; grandsons: Robby, Michael and Marcus and great-grandson Guy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim Powell.

SERVICE
A Graveside service will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at Harney Lane at Hwy 99, Lodi, CA 95240.

Joseph Ohliger

November 18, 1925 - March 11, 2019

Joseph Bryson Ohliger Jr. "Joe" died peacefully, surrounded by family on March 11th in Stockton, CA at the age of 93. Joe is survived by his 4 daughters; Linda Helbling, Patricia Frerking (Matt), Mary Ohliger (Kathryn), Judy Filippoff (Steve), 11 grandchildren (Rachel, Tim, Mike, Rebekah, Chris, Amanda, Joseph, Tiffanie, Ben, Mia & Max) and 9 great-grandchildren (Alex, Riley, Isabelle, Ashton, Bryson, Sierra, Hudson, Cece & Delilah). He is preceded in death by his wife Meredith Ohliger and son JoeIII. Joe was born on Nov. 18, 1925 in Alameda, CA to Joseph Bryson Ohliger Sr. and Elvina Arnold Rosson. He attended Alameda HS before joining the Army, serving in the Philippines. He married Meredith, his high school sweetheart in 1947.

The couple welcomed 5 children into their home. Joe was an avid bowler, woodworker, traveler, and long-standing member of the SIR and Elks organizations. Joe was a generous individual who loved his family.


SERVICE
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00p.m. on Saturday, May 18th at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA with a reception to follow. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Joe's life.

Edward James Cereghino

November 24, 1933 - March 10, 2019

Edward Cereghino, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, age 85, passed away on March 10 th , 2019, after a short illness in Lodi, California. Edward is survived by his children: Linda Cereghino, Diane (Jim) McKittrick, Edward (Judy) Cereghino, Matthew Cereghino, and Jana (Clarence) Santos; his grandchildren: Josh (Yvonne), Lexy, Kyle, Marc, Maggie, Matthew, Julian, and Nathan (Jess); and his great grandchildren: Adrianna, Lisette, Bradley and Gage. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Janet and his parents Edward and Nora Cereghino.

Edward was born on November 24 th , 1933. He was married in 1952, to his high school sweetheart, Janet. Edward was a devoted husband and father. During his lifetime, he shared his vast knowledge with everyone he met and had a genuine concern for all. While his family was his top priority, he took many others under his wing. Edward’s family and friends will always remember him as a kind and compassionate man, who focused on helping those in need. After spending eight years with the New York Yankees Organization, Edward focused on education. Last but not least, he always had a joke to share with everyone, often times, more than once.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity.

VISITATION

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240., with a vigil at 6:00pm.

SERVICE

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19 ,2019 at 10:00am at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 215 W. Walnut Street Lodi, CA 95240, with the burial following at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at Harney Lane at Hwy 99, Lodi, CA 95240.

Mr. James Anthony Martoza, born on November 25, 1960 in San Jose, California, to the late Vivian Pellicone and the late Anthony Martoza, passed away at age 58 on March 8, 2019 in Stockton, California. James was married to Roberta. He is survived by his stepson, Adam Birge, and brother, Marty Martoza. He was a member of Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and an avid animal lover.

The family invites donations in James' name to American Cancer Society and/or Animal Charity of Choice.

SERVICE

A celebration of life will be private. The funeral home will be Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA.

Emily M. Helton

February 10, 1921 - March 6, 2019

Emily M. Helton, 98, passed away March 6, 2019 in Stockton. She was born February 10, 1921, and was a resident of Stockton since 1945. Emily retired from Lincoln Unified School District, working in the cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, dancing and spending time with her family.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lloyd. She is survived by her children, daughter Barbara Shoemake (Paul), son Steve Helton (DaMaris), daughter Elaine Helton (Brad), 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

VISITATION

The visitation for Emily will be held on Tuesday March 19, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00pm with the rosary taking place at 6:00pm at the Vineyard Chapel located at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd in Lodi, CA.

SERVICE

The memorial service for Emily will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 10:00am at Church of the Presentation located at 6715 Leesburg Pl in Stockton, CA.

Anna Koepplin

May 9, 1924 - March 5, 2019

Anna Elizabeth (Just) Koepplin of Lodi passed away peacefully on March 5th, at the age of 94. She was born in Zeeland, North Dakota on May 9 , 1924 to Edward and Katherina Just. Anna moved to Lodi at the age of 20 where she met and married Emil Koepplin on October 31, 1945, after his discharge from the U.S. Army.
Anna was employed by Lodi Memorial Hospital in the laundry dept. where she worked for 16 years. Emil and Anna both retired in 1983 so they could travel. They enjoyed several trips to Europe, including visiting the Holy Land and Egypt and were able to celebrate their 50th Anniversary with family in Maui. In addition to raising three daughters, Anna loved going to flea markets, gardening, quilting, and sewing. She was a charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and volunteered her seamstress talents, making quilts for charity.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Edna Thurn and Alena Koepplin, brother Raymond Just, and daughter Linda Norton. She is survived by her Husband of 73 years, Emil Koepplin, sister Frieda Miller, daughters Loretta Marshall of Auburn and Diane Green (Ron) of Madera, grandchildren Kristen Farrar (Jim) of Davis, Greg Marshall (Toven) of Newport, OR, Sara Harper (Brad) and Matt Green (Jessica) both of Fresno. She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren, Allison, Sam, Trevor, Kylie and Addison, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Vienna Nursing Home, Vitas Hospice Care, and Dr. Edmund Freund for their outstanding care and compassion.

SERVICE

A memorial service celebrating Anna's Life will take place at 11 a.m., Tues. March 12, 2019 at the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at Harney Lane at Hwy 99, Lodi, CA 95240.


Donations may be made in Anna's honor to Loel Senior Center, Meals on Wheels, 105 S. Washington St., Lodi, CA 95240.


Anna will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Merly C. Sangalang peacefully passed away to be with the Lord on March 3, 2019. For all those people who knew Merely will miss her dearly, but she would want all of us to have good memories. She loves life and was kind and generous loving person. Merly deeply touched our hearts. She enjoys variety of interest that involves cooking, baking, Filipino pastries and delicacies, and also watching sports. She was an active and a dedicated member of the Legionarios del Trabajo in America Inc. as the Ground Controller and Ground Treasurer of the Fraternity.

Merly is survived by her companion Nora Maderazo, 2 sisters Vilma Patawaran and Janeth Amodo, and her 3 brothers Joyce Sangalang, Arnel Sangalang, and Jonel Sanglang; also survived by in-laws, 3 nieces, 4 nephews and grandchildren.

SERVICES:

The necrological service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 starting at 3:00pm with a Rosary service following at 5:00pm at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd in Lodi, CA.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00am also at the Vineyard Chapel.

Maybelle peacefully passed on March 2, 2019 at San Joaquin Hospice surrounded by family. Preceded in death by her husband George K. Reimche, sons Rick Reimche and Greg C. Reimche Sr. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be missed by many.

Lorne Percy Truscott passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, and children Derek (Heather), Evan (Dana), Matthew Hansen (Kristina), and Karen Tubb (Amos), and 13 adoring grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother. Lorne's kindness, knowledge, and quick wit endeared him to everyone who knew him.
