Robert Lester Wagner

September 16, 1958 - July 7, 2019

Robert Lester Wager, age 60, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 in Stockton, CA.  He was born on September 16, 1958 to Lester and Thelma Wagner, in Lodi, CA.  He was a member of the Eagles Lodge 848 of Lodi, CA.

Robert is survived by wife Merri Wagner; parents Lester and Thelma Wagner; children Robert Wagner Jr. and Shelby Tucker; grandchildren, Emily Wagner, Haley Wagner, Cadence Wagner, Cailyn Tucker and Lincoln Tucker.  He is also survived by Wilma Garibaldi, Dennis Wagner, Roxanne Guess and Renee Wagner.

SERVICE
Graveside services will be held 1:00pm on Friday, July 12, 2019, located at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

James Camping

04/28/1945 - 07/06/2019

James Harold Camping, 74, passed away suddenly on July 6th, 2019 with his wife at his side. Jim was born on April 28th, 1945 in Alameda, CA to Harold A. and Shirley Camping. He attended school in Alameda, graduating from Alameda High in 1963.
Mr. Camping worked in the construction industry from apprentice to foreman, for 30 years. Jim was a dedicated outdoorsman who loved camping (of course), motorcycling, boating, fishing, and hunting. He was also a generous, loving and devoted husband to his wife of 27 years, Michele. After a whirlwind courtship, they married in Las Vegas NV, on January 24th, 1992. Jim retired early and took great pride in completely remodeling their Mills Avenue home. A talented man with a gifted eye for design, he created a beautifully landscaped yard, in addition to keeping a bountiful fruit and vegetable garden. Home was his haven.
Jim and Michele enjoyed frequent and countless road trips together and traveled extensively throughout California and the western and southern U.S., Alaska, Canada, and Hawaii. Over the years, Jim has enjoyed remodeling and upgrading his travel trailer to include all the comforts of home. At the time of his passing, Jim was anticipating a visit with his son and good buddy Steve and family from Battleground, WA.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Harold, beloved sister and best friend Carol Schaff, and mother-in-law Emily Rishwain. Jim is survived by his wife Michele; mother Shirley, 96, sister Patricia (John) Bakker, and Sue (Jaime) Espinoza of Alameda, Donna (Jeff) Landis of San Jose, Jeri (Rick) McGriff of Jacksonville, FL, and Marie Camping of Rapid City, SD; 4 children, 16 grandchildren 27 loving nieces and nephews and a fast- growing generation of great- nieces and nephews.


SERVICE
A service will be held on Saturday, July 13th, at 1:00p.m. at the Evergreen Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

Kristina Laiblin

May 17, 1947 - July 6, 2019

Kristina Lynn (Danzer) Laiblin attended Stagg High School and graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Environmental Design. She shared a lifetime of art and humor with all who knew her.

Forever to be remembered and loved by her husband Richard Laiblin, her children Elysia Fong (Robyn) and Joshua Laiblin (Megan), and her grandchildren Camden Fong, Ethan Fong, Asher Fong, and Aiden Laiblin.

Susan Meyer

June 21, 1951 - July 2, 2019

Susan M. Meyer, RN 1951-2019 Susan M. Meyer aged 68 passed away July 2, 2019. Loving Wife of Lou Meyer, Loving Mother of Jennifer Winters (Davis), Grandmother to Brandon and Jason Winters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeannette and Charles T. Perks and is survived by her Brother Charles J. Perks (Margaret). Sue was a graduate of Misericordia School of Nursing, Philadelphia, and was certified as a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse in San Joaquin County. Sue dedicated her entire life to caring for others and worked at Lodi Community Hospital, Dameron Hospital, St. Joseph's Medical Center, Health Plan of San Joaquin and lastly as the Director of Nurses at La Salette Health and Rehabilitation Center. Sue was also the Owner of the Indulgence Hair Salon located in the Hammer Ranch Shopping Center. Visitation: Sunday July 7, 2019 3pm - 8pm Services: Monday July 8, 2019 10am at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA .

Sarah Johnston

January 13, 1938 - July 2, 2019

Sarah F. Johnston passed away on July 2 at the age of 91. She is survived by her sons Lyndon and Stuart, daughter in law Elizabeth, and granddaughter Morgan. Mrs. Johnston was born Sarah Frances Duncan in Ft. Worth, TX. Her parents eventually settled in Irving, TX where Sarah grew up. After high school, Sarah was employed at Baylor Medical School and became involved with the Tall Club of Dallas social group. While attending a National Tall Club convention in San Francisco, Sarah met her future husband Leland Johnston. Sarah moved to Los Angeles and married Lee in 1955. The couple relocated to Stockton in 1957 when Lee's employer, Diamond Walnut, moved their operations here from So. Cal. Along with being a homemaker and raising two sons, Sarah had many years of service at the Bank of Stockton and Delta College. After retirement, the family relocated to Valley Springs for 20+ years before returning to Stockton in 2015. Sarah was greatly loved by her family and will be missed by all those who knew her well.

SERVICE

A memorial service will be held for Sarah at the First Presbyterian Church, 31 E. Vine St., Stockton, 95202 on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.

Lucile Baumbach

March 14, 1935 - June 30, 2019

Lucile Emma Meidinger Baumbach passed away suddenly on June 30, 2019. Her 84 years of life were filled with love, kindness, laughter, hard work and devotion. She was born in Fallon, Montana on March 14, 1935 and moved to Lodi as a young child with her family, parents Ida and Henry Meidinger and her four older sisters. She attended local schools and graduated from Lodi High in 1953, and until her death was still gathering with classmates, many who were life long friends since kindergarten.
In July of 1954, she married Donald Baumbach and remained his loving, devoted wife until his death in 2014. Several years into their marriage, they started their family with the births of their sons, Brian and Michael. Lucile adored her boys, supporting them in all activities throughout their lives and spending family vacations in Santa Cruz and Lake Tahoe to mention a few. Her family love and dedication continued with the births of her grandson, Brandon and great-grandson, Jax.
She worked for Dr. Plowman, Lodi's City Hall, Lodi Iron Works and for Reeve's Insurance Company where she remained throughout several ownership changes and retired after over 30 years, remaining close to many in her work family. Throughout her life she loved to travel, visiting from Europe to Asia and many places in between. But it was her family and friends she valued the most.
Lucile is survived by her sons, Brian and Michael (Paige), grandson Brandon (Joanne), great-grandson Jax, many nieces and nephews along with her family of cherished friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Alvina Glantz, Clara Schroeder, Betty Thiel, Donna Ladner, one of her beloved nieces, and her adored dog Molly. To know Lucile, was to love her, an attribute for the genuine love she gave to others. Lucile, you touched so many lives and are greatly missed.

SERVICE
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00am, July 16th, 2019 at the  Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vinewood Church, PALS or to the charity of your choice.

Johnny Gainza

November 10, 1925 - June 28, 2019

John Gainza, 93, died peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Yountville, CA. He was surrounded by his family. John, a Stockton, CA native, was born November 10, 1925 to Basque immigrant parents Andres Gainza and Jesusa Uriarte Gainza. He was captain of the Stockton High Tarzans' winning football team of 1943, leading them to a perfect season and a Sac-Joaquin championship. The team was later inducted into the Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame. John joined the army in 1944. Wounded in Okinawa, Japan, he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Returning to Stockton, John managed and eventually owned Jessie's place, a Basque hotel, bar and restaurant established by his mother. He sold Jessie's and spent his career in the retail food and beverage industry, at one time owning Nor Cal distributing.
John was a passionate sports athlete, fan and promoter. He played city league baseball and basketball into his 40s, then golfed twice per week well into his 80s. He was a founding member of the Jesters' Club, an organization which supports high school athletics with scholarships. He also supported the UOP Tigers basketball team. His community activities included service on the San Joaquin County Grand Jury. Gregarious and fun loving, he cultivated a wide circle of friends in Stockton and Lodi. He and Lois relocated to Yountville in 2013 where they continued to enjoy new friendships.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Jesusa Gainza and his brother Andy Gainza.
John is survived by his loving wife, Lois, children Linda Lucaccini (Anthony), David Gainza (Kim), and Craig Gainza (Sandy), grandchildren Jennifer McCormick (Aidan), John Gainza, Allison Gainza, Emmy Gainza, and Annie Gainza Longuski (Ben) and great granddaughter Lilly McCormick. He will be fondly remembered by his stepchildren Sharon Welch and Boyd Van Noate, step-grandchildren Lucas Van Noate and Hailey Van Noate, and step-great grandchild Brad Diaz.

VISITATION

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home    located at 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA 95240

SERVICE

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 215 W Walnut St Lodi, CA 95240 on   Thursday July 11, 2019 at 11:00a.m. followed by a military graveside service at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

Friends and family are invited to a reception at St. Anne's following the funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to : CFOSJ Jesters Fund, at 6735 Herndon Place, Suite B, Stockton, Ca 95219.
