Asa Koyama

April 10, 1935 - March 24, 2021

Asa Koyama, 85, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 24th. Asa, known to friends and relatives as Ace, worked for more than 70 years as a grape farmer, and knew how to fix almost anything. He was kind, loyal and managed to have a great sense of humor and understanding of the world and people, despite having experienced a lifetime fraught with hardship and health problems. He was loved dearly by many and was always there for those when they needed him.

Asa is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shigeko, along with his four daughters Julie Koyama, Jennifer Sant, Candace Sadorra and Karin Coleman, along with his 9 grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, April 7th at 1:00 pm, at Vineyard chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman are, Lodi, CA 95240.

February 22, 1951 - March 22, 2021

On Monday March 22, 2021, Mark Stephen Anderson passed in peace at the age of 70 in Stockton, CA. His final days were spent surrounded by family and close friends.
Mark was born in HolyOke, Massachusetts on February 22, 1951 to parents Harold and E. Maxine Anderson. He was a strong and dedicated provider for his family, working as an Industrial Electrician for General Electric, and Instrument Technician for Agricultural processing plants for over 40 years. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he gave much service on a two-year mission in Scotland, a Sacramento Temple Ordinance worker, Assistant Baptistry Leader in the Oakland Temple, Congregation Leadership positions and 40 plus years of being a well-loved teacher of youth.
After 44 years of marriage, Mark is survived by his wife Seija, loving father of Daniel (Shannon) Anderson, Liisa (Mark) Dávila, Cynthia (Sarah) Driver and Stephen (Robyn) Anderson; proud grandfather of Toby, Zowie, Calin, Kameron, Isabella, Maxwell, Nathan, Felix, Derrick, Samantha, Addison and Jonah; and brother to Vic, Bruce, Tom and Mary.
Mark’s legacy will live on in the hearts of many with open doors and the mantra “once you come in, you are family.” Mark will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, patriarch of his family, follower and believer in Jesus Christ, brilliant quick witted humor, lead mechanic and fixer of all machines, master builder, and supporter of the fine arts and music.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 1:00pm on Friday April 02, 2021 at Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.

Eliseo Camarena

February 01, 1935 - March 19, 2021

Eliseo (Alex) L. Camarena, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Manteca, CA. He was born February 1, 1935 in Porterville, CA to Augustine & Refugio Camarena.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy, and his 7 sons: Daniel, Mark, David, Jeremiah (Hope), Israel (Danielle), Nathan (Shannon), Paul (Reynna), and 10 grandchildren.

He was a Pastor of Abundant Life Center in Lathrop for many years, as well as a Barber at Lincoln Village Barber Shop in Stockton.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Alex touched are invited to the memorial service on Tuesday, March 30th at Lodi Christian Life Church, on 322 W Elm St., in Lodi, CA at 11:00am.

Joseph Bewley

April 3, 1941 - March 18, 2021

Joe was born on April 3, 1941 and died on March 18, 2021 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of R. Monique "Mickey" Bewley.

Joseph was schooled in the Santa Maria area and graduated from California State Polytechnic College in San Luis Obispo in Dec. 1965 with a Bachelor Degree in Biological Science and an added year for Secondary Teaching Credentialing.

His first job was as a part time service station attendant while also attending college from June 1959 through April 1965. He was then employed at the California Department of Corrections in Los Padres as a correctional officer from April 1965 through September 1967. Shortly after, he began to work for the US Food and Drug Administration as an Inspector in Los Angeles from October 1967 through April 1970. Joe moved to Lodi when he received a promotion in the State of California Department of Health Food and Drug at the Stockton branch as a Supervising Food and Drug Inspector from April of 1970 to May 1, 1998. Retirement was not for this man, so he went to work for the DFA of California Safe Food Alliance in Sacramento as a Food Safety auditor, from 1998 to the time of his recent illness.

Joe was an active member of the Fairmont Seventh Day Adventist Church for most of his adult life. He loved our God, and he loved our church. Joe was a very active, participating member of our church. He sang in the choir, was an assistant Deacon, and was also involved with the audio and tape ministry. Joe led out in song service at the Vienna Convalescent Hospital. He was a helper where ever needed - Vacation Bible School, Health Ministries, and Community Service - if there was work to be done, Joe was one of the first to volunteer.

Joe leaves his beloved wife, Mickey; his daughter, Robin Bewley Marchetti (Bill) of Hollister; his stepchildren, Colleen Kinsley Greenlaw (Delwayne) of TN; Paul D. Kinsley (Candace) of Huntington Beach and Kelly A. Kinsley (Beverly) of McKinleyville. He was a proud and loving grandfather to, Bill, Kayla and Nicholas Marchetti of CA, Aaron R. Mastro, of Lodi, Megan O. Kinsley Wait of TN, Ian Christian-Collin Greenlaw of TN, Kristopher P. Kinsley of TX, Sarah M. Kinsley of TX, Micah N. and Anya T. Kinsley of CA; and the loving great grandfather to, Oliver N., Aeryn F., Annabelle R. Mastro, and Addison T. Wait. In addition to his immediate family, he leaves two sisters, Connie (Marvin) Bell, of Oregon and Ruth (Jack) DeLangie of Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews, extended families, and co-workers and friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Bewley; mother, Florence Grigsby; step-father, Forbes Grigsby; son, Philip Bewley; and brother, Tim Bewley.

Services to celebrate the life of Joseph E. Bewley will be held at 5 p.m. on April 3, 2021 (Joe's 80th birthday) at the Fairmont SDA Church, 730 S. Fairmont Avenue in Lodi.
