Timothy R. (Roland) Nunes, devoted son and brother, proud father, loving grandpa and loyal friend, returned to Our Creator on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Born July 13, 1963 in Stockton, CA, Tim was raised by his parents Roland and Patricia Nunes in East Stockton where he played with his sister and friends, often until the porch lights came on; and where trips were taken to Yosemite, Lake Hogan, Disneyland, and on many fishing trips in the San Joaquin Delta, where he was taught to fish by his dad and Grandpa Nunes. inculcated with a talent and love of music from his parents, Tim studied music starting in elementary school and was a student of Mel Won at Franklin High; where he loved jazz band and learned to play many instruments.

As a young man Tim toured with the bands "Goldrush" and "West Coast," and volunteered as Choral Director at First Presbyterian in Tracy, Ca. In 1985 he married Kathryn Mary Danforth, and in 1990 they were blessed with the birth of their daughter Kathryn Eliza, nicknamed Katie. Timothy worked in the technology field for many years, first in coding, but switched to writing within the technology field, working for Discovery, DaVinci and for over 20 years with I.B.M. In 2009 he earned a Master's degree from I.I.T. (Illinois Institute of Technology) in Chicago, ILL; after earlier completing his B.A. in Liberal Arts from California State University at Stanislaus.

Passionate about helping others, Tim was a counselor for Weight Watchers, wanting to help others with a kind word and by example. He marched in solidarity with LGTBQIA groups, a firm believer in the equality of all persons. With his wife Kathryn he volunteered at First Presbyterian in Glen Ellyn, ILL; cooking food for community dinners and taking bedding to be washed for the community's homeless population. He read audio books for the blind and dyslexic; his sonorous voice appreciated by many. A lover of nature and animals, he was active in his church's ecology club, dedicated to good stewardship of God's creation where he and Kathryn participated in many activities. Enjoying his vacation time with family, he and Kathryn traveled the world. He engaged in musical pursuits and wrote short stories all of his life, but his greatest joy was spending time with his daughter Katie and her family with his grandchildren, Eliza and Malcolm; as well as with friends and other family. He was a doting and loving father and grandpa, and was known to his friends by his loyalty and compassion.

Tim is survived by his parents, Roland Albert Nunes and Patricia Ann Nunes, his sister Rhondda Lynne Nunes, his wife of over 30 years Kathryn Mary Nunes, his daughter Kathryn Eliza (Katie) Nunes Robinson (Graham), and his grandchildren Eliza and Malcolm Robinson. It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Robert Eugene Barbee, 77 of Lodi on May 2nd, 2021. He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for 6 ½ years.

Bob was born in November 1943 to Cecil Engram Barbee and Ruby Mae Barham in San Bernardino California.  He had 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

In July 1962, he married the love of his life Nylene McComb. He was a loving husband and they were happily married and inseparable for nearly 59 years.  Anyone who knew Bob personally, knew you’d never find Bob without Nylene.

Bob was manager of McComb’s Chevron in Lodi for 25 years and owned his own business, Bob’s Precision Auto in Lodi for 22 years.  As owner of Bob’s Precision Auto, he took pride in delivering personalized quality service to all of his clients.  He often picked up and delivered customers and their vehicles himself.  He could always be trusted and depended on, as he was a man of his word and always looked out for the best interest and safety of others.

Bob was a generous man that always found happiness in giving to others.  For many years Bob & Nylene would donated bicycles to Adopt-A-Child at Christmas.  He loved giving to any cause that helped others, but had a special soft spot for children and animals.

Bob & Nylene loved family and to travel in their RV.  There are so many memories of camping with family, his barbequing, making his delicious fresh salsa, and cooking breakfast.  He was always known to be a prankster so no matter where he was, you were sure to have a good time as you never knew what was coming next.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and precious dog Annie.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years Nylene and his buddy Coal B Jack.   He is survived by brother Cecil Barbee (BeaAnn), Arthur Serpa (Joanne) and sister Jeanne Slocum(Don).  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
