Bruce Standferd Allen was born February 26, 1957 in Lodi, CA to Elmo and Lois Allen (Bitterman). Bruce passed away suddenly at home during his sleep on Wednesday April 20, 2022, even though Bruce has been battling with health issues over the years his death was very unexpected.
Bruce was a natural in the mountains and spent a lot of time in the Stanislaus National Forest. Bruce was a true outdoors man, some even referred to him as a typical mountain man. He enjoyed spending his time anywhere from shooting his guns at Campo Saco; fishing at Middle Bar, on the Delta at Wimpy's or even in the SF Bay; taking his quads out to West Point or up to Groveland, with anyone who wanted to join him; putting his boat in the water out on Lake Camanche, Lake Hogan or up to New Melones Reservoir; camping at Salt Springs and Mt. Shasta; taking a day trip and hiking to Natural Bridges or just relaxing and floating the Mokelumne River or spending the day at Jack Chappell's pool on Lodi Avenue. Bruce was very universal in knowing how to have fun and everyone enjoyed his company. Bruce was also an avid wild bird hunter. He enjoyed a good time with family and friends and was a very proud grandfather. Bruce was a phenomenal cook and he loved to BBQ.
Bruce was a Lodi native who grew up on Sonora Street with his mother, Lois and his grandparents, Ferd and Orvilla. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1975 and joined the USMC shortly after high-school for a short time. He worked as a foreman for Aztec Foam BRU Commercial roofing and repair Services from 1979 until 2000. He loved sci-fi, his children, his dogs and had a very contagious sense of humor. He was very involved with his daughters and their friends during their high-school careers. Bruce was a gentle giant with a very soft and patient demeanor. He will truly be missed and remembered for all the rich memories he created with those he surrounded himself with during his adventures in life.
Bruce is survived by his son, Justin Allen (Tanya); daughters, Jennifer (Jeremy), and Jaime Allen; and 10 grandchildren, Makhayla, Alexa, Chevelle, Devin, Jennessa, Padmè, Emery, Jonathan, Orion and Faye. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Baker (Bitterman); grandparents, Ferd and Orvilla Bitterman.
Bruce will be cremated and a celebration of life memorial will be held on a later date.

Lorine Sanford, loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away suddenly on March 11, 2022 at her home in Lodi. The second oldest of eight siblings, Lorine was born to Fred and Katherine Wanner, in Wishek, North Dakota on December 9, 1937. Lorine grew up on the family farm, speaking only German until she began school, and regularly attending the Lutheran church.
With her family she moved to Stockton, California in 1953. After marrying Raymond Goulart in 1957, she gave birth to her three children in quick succession over the next 4 years - sons Steven and David, and daughter Alisa. She shared the love of family with her children, spending Sundays and holidays with the large Wanner family, and their lives were enriched with joyful relationships with grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.
After seeing her children into their school years, Lorine developed a successful career in retail management with Lerner Shops. She worked long hours to support the family as a single mother, modeling the work ethic she passed on to her children.
She married Robert Sanford of Reno, Nevada in 1985, where she lived until after his passing. She returned to live in Stockton in 1998 and proceeded to fully enjoy her retirement years. She served as a volunteer for the Sheriffs' STAR program, was active in PEO, and regularly volunteered in her church, Zion Lutheran, and, later, Emanuel Lutheran.
Lorine adored her four granddaughters and spent much time visiting them in New Jersey and Florida, ensuring she was always current on their achievements. It was always very special when she could join them on vacations and during holidays. In later years, she found joy in visiting with her great-grandchildren.
She beat cancer twice, always remaining positive during her treatments and recoveries. And she gracefully dealt with her declining health due to pulmonary fibrosis and COPD. She never let obstacles stand in her way of living life on her own terms.
When describing Lorine, friends use the words fun, delightful, enjoyable – she was all of that and more. She loved her family, holidays with relatives, traveling, games, Sister Saturdays, and beach vacations with her 8 siblings. She made friends wherever she went.
Lorine is survived by her two living children, Steven Goulart of Mendham New Jersey, with his wife Kristy, and Alisa Goulart of Stockton; her four granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren; sisters Delores Grabow, Sarah Trowbridge, and Sharan Racho; brothers Stanley, Howard, and Richard Wanner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
