Lawrence Perucca, Jr.

September 16, 1956 - July 8, 2022

Larry entered into lasting peace on July the 8th 2022.

Larry was Welcomed in to this world on September 16th,1956, along with his twin little sister to his parents Emeline Annette (Becker)Perucca and Lawrence John Perucca Sr. Larry was the most cherished brother to 5 sisters!! When Larry was a little older he moved was living in San Jose, California where he met and married his loving wife of 44 years Cheryl Lynn Perucca. Larry has been an extremely devoted loving father to his 3 daughters, Jamie Perucca, and her children that were lucky to have two titles from Larry (papa, father figure), Angelina Nixon (husband Jay Nixon) and then his son Larry Perucca the 3rd(wife Sharla Perucca) and his daughter Michelle Mitchell (husband Sammie Mitchell). Larry was such a devoted, loving, and FUN Grandfather aka PAPA..HE loved to play tricks on his grandchildren also with teaching them skills, like gun safety and dirt bike riding.

He is survived by grandchildren, Samantha, Jason and Natalie; Austin, Alexis, Andrew and Alijah; Larry the 4th, Michael and Daniel. Levi, SJ(Sam jr) and Jaxon. He is also survived by a host of nephew and nieces whom all got a taste of his humor, yet still greatly respected and loved him greatly.

Larry started this world as a mechanical genius. What others went to school for four years and still didn't quite get he achieved quite naturally and astonished others. Larry acquired a job at Toscano bakery San Jose, CA. where he started out as a mechanic but soon ended up in the engineering department. From there Larry moved to Galt California with his wife and children. After working at Toscano, Larry went to work Parisian bakery in San Francisco where he was an engineer for many years and was even promoted to assistant chief . After the closing of Parisian San Francisco, Larry went to work at Columbus bakery in Oakland where he remained until his retirement In 2012. But during his years as an engineer, even designed fabricated and installed a whole conveyor system that went from the oven all around the top of the building to one end of the building and back to cool the bread down and back to the bagging department. It was quite something!!! The words that Larry will be extremely missed are not big enough.

Julie Hilt

February 16, 1928 - June 23, 2022

Julie Ann Hilt (Bootie), passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2022 at the age of 94. Julie entered this world as the fifth child of Daniel and Mary Gallego, in Pacoima, CA on February 16, 1928, one year before the great depression. Although the depression lasted through her early childhood, mom always reflected back that those years spent working with her parents and siblings in the fields of Riverbank, CA, were the best of her life.

For 94 years, family was always the core and focal point of her life and soul. Mom’s unconditional love shined through her service for others. She worked for 30 years serving others at the Fiesta (as owner), Carmen’s, Porfi’s and Miguel’s Mexican Restaurants. She then went on to work 20 years with children at Stockton Unified School District as a bilingual aide. Mom was very skilled at painting ceramics and creating flower arrangements. She loved fishing, camping, and of course, the slot machines. Mom was an influence to her family and friends with her faith in God and was a beloved Godmother (Nina) to many. She lived her Cursillo Retreat in her 80’s and grew her love for many close friends throughout her life; closest among her were Pumpkin, Ali, Sharon, Sally and Annella. Her cooking skills, especially tamales, were taught to many family members and friends alike. Mom was the last surviving sibling of Daniel and Mary Gallego and the Matriarch of our family. She is greatly loved and will be abundantly missed. May God bless all of you and keep each of you in His loving arms. Vaya Con Dios!
