Olga Heredia

October 7, 1946 - September 27, 2022

Olga M.Heredia of Ione, CA has headed up the highway to heaven on September 27, 2022 surrounded by her husband Richard, son Moses, & adopted son-GI Joe. Olga was born in McAllen, TX on October 7, 1946. In the late 50’s, Olga's parents Ofelia & Carlos Morales made a family move to San Jose, CA. Eventually, Olga met her husband, Ricardo/Richard, at Starlight Night club in San Jose, CA, where he asked her to dance and she first refused; but, there was no stopping Ricardo from reeling in the women of his dreams. Essentially, Ricardo captured the heart of Olga and they married on June 24, 1972 in San Jose, CA. As their love continued to grow, so did their family and so, they made their move down to Stockton, CA in the early 1980s. By this time, they had 3 children: Ricardo, Ophelia, & Moses. In early 2008, Olga & Ricardo bought their dream home in Lathrop, CA, where they built many years of memories with family & friends. Once Richard retired in 2017, they both moved to the Camanche Lake area (Ione, CA) because Olga wanted to be closer to the lake or have a lake view. Undeniably, Olga was a strong fighter and an empowered phenomenal woman who did not let any physical challenges or obstacles affect her from living a long fortunate, beautiful, and radiant life with the people she loved most.

Olga is survived by Richard, her husband of 50 years, her son Moses & Ricky, her daughter, Ophelia. Olga is also survived by her sister Yvette, Sonia, & Sandra. Known to her grandchildren as “Nana/Bubee”, Olga is survived by her grandchildren, Junior & Xsence Perez, Idalis, Zoe, Ricki, & Chloe Heredia and great-grandchildren Raven & Robin . She is also survived by both son-in-laws Giovanni Berrios-Heredia & Gilberto Perez, and daughter-in-law Christine Heredia. And, survived by her two favorite fur babies Hashtag & Buttercup.

Olga was faced with a Polio diagnosis in the 1940’s and consequently, endured multiple experimental procedures from 18th month until the end. Consequently, it enabled her to participate & march at 18-months—well into her adulthood alongside her children for the March of Dimes.
