It is with deep personal loss we announce the passing of Gilda Darlene Wolf. Our beloved Gilda lost her five-year battle to cancer February 28th while under hospice care at her home in Stockton.
Gilda Darlene Eller was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 12th, 1947, to Quentin and Marilyn Eller, where she was raised with her two siblings. She is survived by her brother, Mickey Stevens Eller of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and sister, Allison Marlaine Gibson of Worthington, Indiana. Gilda spent her teenage years in Indianapolis, playing violin, enjoying Cheer block, History Club, and Drama Club while a member of the first graduating class of Northwest High School in 1965.
Gilda was a loving wife to her husband of 54 years, Richard (Dick) of Stockton, and a devoted mother to her three children, Richard Jr. of Fresno and his wife Tonya, Nicole Alyson of Pacifica and Ryan Douglas of San Francisco and his wife Flo. She adored her four grandchildren, Jacob and Colby Wolf of Fresno and Emily and Alexander Wolf of Stockton.
Gilda was a faithful and devoted follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, accepting Him to guide her from a very early age. She was active in her local church as a choir singer, Bethel Series bible teacher and, later, a member and group and children’s leader in Bible Study Fellowship International. Gilda loved her Lord and is with Him, completely free from the pain and suffering she strongly endured these final few months.
Gilda was, first and foremost, a homemaker for her family, yet still found time to work in the medical field and start her own childcare business. Gilda always displayed a servant’s heart for kids, donating time at her children’s schools, carpooling to their many sporting events, recitals, and performances, and broadening her learning experiences by serving on various Parent Clubs, vacation bible schools and other activities.
Gilda touched countless lives with her energy and selfless nature. Throughout her life, Gilda continued to plant seeds of faith beyond her own.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on April 8, 2023, at Wine & Roses in Lodi, California.
