Katherine Lucille Norling passed away on March 27, 2023 in Stockton, CA. Born November 14, 1940 in Oklahoma to Colson and Geneva Brewer, Katherine was raised in Stockton and graduated from Franklin High School. She retired after 20 plus years at Elmwood Elementary administration office.
Lucille is predeceased by her parents, her brother Wesley and her daughter Kelly Ann Shanley.
She is survived by her husband Floyd “Butch” Norling, grandson Travis, Ryan (Jackie), sister Margarete, brother Donald (Diane), great granddaughter Kelly Ann and Merrida, and numerous nieces, nephews and in laws.
SERVICES:
The visitation for Katherine will be held on Thursday April 6, 2023 form 12:00pm to 7:00pm in the Vineyard Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd in Lodi, California.

Warrior Dominador Sapelier Roberts, son of the late Alfred Walter Roberts and Esperanza Sapelier Roberts, was born on July 31, 1944 in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, Philippines. He met the love of his life and his wife of 57 years, Freda, at just 14 years old. They married six years later and together had five sons: Warren, Wagner, Warfred, Wayne, and Wesley.
Warrior immigrated to the United States in 1991. He worked in the crabbing industry of Alaska, was employed by numerous companies throughout Stockton, California, and ultimately retired from Hormel Foods in 2009. Warrior’s hobbies included fishing, firing at the gun range, watching Filipino teleseryes, and feasting with family. If there was one thing Warrior was known for, it was his love for music. He played the drums, was owner and DJ of Warrior‘s Music Energy, choreographed line dances, and spent many senior Fridays at the Elks Lodge Stockton Singles Dance Club with his wife and friends.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Freda, of Stockton; his sons and daughters-in-law: Warren & Maricar of Belleville, Ontario, Canada; Wagner & Gilda, Warfred & Elena, Wayne & Lisa, and Wesley & Lucille of Stockton; his 18 grandchildren: Marc, Zsade, Bruze John (BJ), Warfred II, Prince, Tiffany, Wagner Jr., Kimberly, Princess, Leo, Shane, Kate, Kryshna, Mariah, Chelsey, Chloe, Isabel, and Ellery; and his four great grandchildren: Megan, Max, Ben, and another great grandchild coming this July.
Warrior peacefully departed this beautiful life surrounded by his family on March 26, 2023. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
We invite you to join us for his celebration of life held at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. The viewing will take place on Thursday, April 6th from 1:00pm to 7:00pm, with a rosary starting at 4:00pm. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 7th at 10 am.

Mary Ann Carpenter (Akers) passed away, unexpectedly, at home on March 25, 2023. She was born on October 17, 1962 at San Joaquin General Hospital to Odis & Betty Akers, preceded in death.
Also preceded in her death, are her two sisters, Peggy Akers, Bernice Martinez, and her two nieces, Christina & Ashley Martinez.
Mary grew up in East Stockton and attended Franklin High School. She worked as a medical receptionist for a doctor's office for many years, and recently worked part time at Jack In The Box. She loved camping, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter Vickie Carpenter (Dante and James), and her sons Ronnie Carpenter III (Kaylee, Rylee, Kaleb, and Justine), and Travis Carpenter. She is also survived by her fiance Tom Schachten, her three sisters, Janice Fitzgerald (Fred), Trisha Morgan (Jerry), Kathy Hall, and her two brothers David Akers (Sandy), and Randy Akers (Sheila).
Mary was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, spouse, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She is already greatly missed and will live on forever in our hearts.
Visitation- will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 1-3 pm at Cherokee Memorial. 14165 Beckman Rd., Lodi, CA. In the Merlot Room, in the main office.
Graveside Service- will be on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 10am in the Garden of Freedom at Cherokee Memorial- 14165 Beckman Rd., Lodi, CA.
A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following.

Norman M Hatley, 97, passed away on March 22, 2023 in Stockton, CA at his home with family by his side.
Norman was born in Williams, OK on March 15, 1926 to Roy and Ethel (Hannah) Hatley. Norman was the 4th of 6 children. He served in the US Navy 1944-1946 working in the boiler room of a support ship in the Philippines. After he was discharged he returned home to finish high school and that’s when he met his sweetheart JoAnn. JoAnn soon moved to Tracy CA with her parents and siblings. After graduation Norman also moved to Tracy and he and JoAnn were married in April 1947. They had two children, Brock and Jackie. The family moved to Stockton in 1960 then in 1962 they moved to the country where Norman could have horses and other farm animals. Norman also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his young family.
In 1965 Norman joined the San Joaquin Valley Rangers becoming club President in 1971 and San Joaquin County Horsemen President in 1978. Norman spent many happy years announcing events at SJVR and other arenas throughout the area. He has enjoyed volunteering at and been a proud board member of both clubs for many years. On March 18th the newly rebuilt SJVR Announcer’s Booth was dedicated to Norman and he was able to attend.
Norman had a dairy distributorship for many years and retired in 1983. Life changed again with the birth of their grandson Clay. Norman and JoAnn loved having Clay stay over and following him as he grew into an adult.
Norman is survived by his son Brock (Ginger) Hatley, daughter Jackie (Craig) Sousa, grandson Clay Kruse, and his loving dog, Windy, who never left his side. Also, sisters-in-law Helen and Anna, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, parents Roy and Ethel, sisters Noma, Nola, Faye, brothers Melvin, and Morris.
The family would like to thank Josh, Joni, Christy, and Goodie from Hospice of San Joaquin for their loving care and support.
Friends are invited to attend graveside services on Monday, April 3rd, 11:00 am at Cherokee Memorial Park Azalea Garden in Lodi and the reception following at the Elks Lodge, 8900 Thornton Rd, Stockton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave, Stockton, CA 95204.

Pamela (Pam) was born in Stockton, CA to Paul J. Koenig and Annetta M. (Casey) Koenig.
Pam graduated from St. Mary’s Assumption Elementary School and St. Mary’s Hight School. Pam married Marvin Garrett (deceased), 8/11/71. She had two sons, Robert and Ryan (deceased).
She owned, for a short time, George’s Ham Hut, located in Gaines Market, in Lincoln Village Center. She, later worked for Albertson’s, from which she retired. She was a dedicated employee and had impeccable work ethics. Pam was always a very hard worker in her life and a good role model to her children. She married her husband, Ron Makelke on 9/25/95, they were devoted to each other and happily married for twenty eight years. She had two step children, Bud and Lynn. She also had one granddaughter, Ella.
Pam was an excellent student and avid reader. She had many hobbies in her life which included wood burning, cooking, and playing card games with her children. On Christmas Day, she loved to play poker with her father and uncles. Before Christmas, she would make multiple batches of fudge to share with friends and family. She was a very giving person and it made her happy to help others.
She was a member of Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Stockton for 69 years. She was very active in parish life, she was an Extra Ordinary Minister of the Eucharist and an usher for the 5:00 pm Mass.
