Phal Som

February 2, 1942 – January 27, 2024

We are very sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother, devoted aunt, doting grandmother, and loving great grandmother Phal Som, age 81. She passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 in her home surrounded by family. Born in Cambodia, she fought her way through mass genocide and resided the remainder of her life in Stockton. She was a kind hearted person who displayed unconditional love to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Even during her moments of discomfort she always had the well-being of her friends and family in her heart. She fought a long time to stay with us. We have been so fortunate to have her in our lives as long as we did.

The loving mother of Saroeum Som (Phy Hout), Vanny Som (Tito Chhun), and the late Thoeum Som and Ky Som. Sister of Vann Som (Phy Sam), Chhoeurn Som (Keoun Ken), and the late Sam Sar and Chhin Sar (Sous Ka). Loving grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, cousins, family, and friends which she held near and dear to her heart.

Family and friends welcomed to join us for her services.
