Antonia T. Rodriguez, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 1, 2026, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, family, and strength.

Born into a vibrant family of 11 siblings, Antonia learned early on the value of deep connection and community. At the age of 18 yrs old, she embarked on a life-changing chapter by migrating to the United States. It was here that Antonia built a beautiful life, She united in marriage with Cleofas Vasquez and blessed with five cherished children. Ricardo (deceased), Rose, Thelma, Ruby and Robert. She proudly studied and became a United States citizen.

Throughout her journey, Antonia faced life’s challenges and transitions of divorce and finding love again. Antonia had immense grace and unshakable resiliency. Her legacy will continue with 17 grandchildren and 11 great grand children. Her spirit, warmth, and enduring love will live on forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone touched by her kindness. The family would like to thank everyone for all the cards, flowers and gifts, we are touched by all the support and kindness.

Teresa Nan Thompson

Teresa Thompson
February 9, 1954 - May 31, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Teresa Thompson (McCulley), age 72, of Lodi, CA. Terri passed away on May 31, 2026 after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born February 9th, 1954 in Santa Barbara, CA to Walter and Marjorie McCulley.

Terri attended local schools in Santa Barbara before heading to Biola College. It was there she met the love of her life, Mark Thompson. They married in 1979 and enjoyed a long and loving marriage. Together they raised a daughter, Danielle Thompson.

Terri's life with Mark was devoted to serving The Lord in various church ministries in southern CA as well as entrepreneurial adventures. Together Mark and Terri felt called to northern CA where they eventually started Remedy Church Lodi. Terri had many gifts and hobbies but her greatest joy came from serving others through those hobbies of cooking, baking and crafting, She loved to gather people together for food, games and conversations of life.

Terri is survived by her husband Mark, daughter Danielle, siblings Tim McCulley (Joane), Colleen Smith (Jim), and Barb McCulley, Sister in law Marilyn Ashby, her husband Lee and mother in law Bobbie Thompson.

Terri will be most remembered for her love and dedication to the Lord, her family and anyone God brought into her life.

A memorial service will be held for Terri on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Grace Point Church (801 S. Lower Sacramento Rd. Lodi, CA) at 6:00 pm.

Michelle "Mikey Souza" DeKam

In Loving Memory of Mikey Souza
February 26, 1982 – May 29, 2026

With heavy hearts and countless cherished memories, we announce the passing of Mikey Souza, who left this world on May 29, 2026, at the age of 44.

Mikey made her home in Lake Camanche, California, a place that perfectly matched her spirit. If she wasn't tending to her plants, you could often find her out on the lake fishing, kayaking, or simply soaking in the beauty of the water she loved so much. The lake wasn't just where she lived, it was where she felt most at peace.

Mikey had a gift for making people laugh, often when they needed it most. She had a stubborn streak, a big heart, and a way of speaking her mind that left little room for guessing what she was thinking. She loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and lived life on her own terms.

More than anything, Mikey treasured time with the people she loved. Her greatest joy was being with her daughter, Madison, and sharing life with her love, Scott. She was a devoted mother, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend whose presence brought warmth, honesty, and plenty of unforgettable stories to those around her.

Mikey is survived by her parents, Donna and Ken Thomas; her sister, Jennifer Ollis; her brother, Kenny Thomas; her daughter, Madison Woodcock; her son, Jadon Woodcock; and many other family members and friends who will carry her memory forward.

While our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in imagining Mikey where she would want to be: on a calm lake at sunrise, fishing pole in hand, surrounded by nature, probably reminding us all that we were doing it wrong.

She was the kind of person who left ripples everywhere she went, just like the lake she loved. Her kindness, humor, strength, and love touched countless lives, and those ripples will continue long after her passing through the family, friends, and memories she leaves behind.

Mikey's love, laughter, strength, and spirit will remain with us forever. Though she has left our sight, she will never leave our hearts.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.

Richard "Rick" McGuiness

In Loving Memory of Richard Michael “Rick“ McGuiness

May 22, 195 - May 23, 2026

Richard Michael "Rick" McGuiness, age 74, of Stockton, California, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, just one day after celebrating his 74th birthday on May 22.

Rick was born on May 22, 1952, in San Jose, California, to Carmel Alice "Babe" McGuiness and Harry Robert McGuiness. Throughout his life, Rick was known for his resilience, compassionate heart, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family and friends.

One of Rick's greatest accomplishments was his recovery. He remained clean and sober from December 1, 2001, and often reflected on the moment he decided to change his life by saying, "I was sick and tired of being sick and tired." Those words marked the beginning of a new chapter; one filled with hope, purpose, and service to others.

Inspired by his own journey, Rick dedicated his life to helping those struggling with addiction. In March 2002, he began working as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at Turning Point Orinda Detox Center, where he faithfully served until his retirement in August 2022. He believed everyone deserved a second chance and found great purpose in walking alongside others as they rebuilt their lives. His compassion, understanding, and encouragement touched countless individuals and families throughout his career.

Rick was a believer in God whose Christian faith remained an important part of his life. When his health allowed, he attended church and found strength, comfort, and peace in his relationship with the Lord. His faith was reflected in the grace, forgiveness, and kindness he extended to everyone he met.

A lifelong and devoted San Francisco Giants fan, Rick rarely missed a game. Whether cheering from the stands or watching from home, baseball brought him endless joy. He proudly wore his Giants gear and loved sharing his passion for the game with family and friends.

Music was another of Rick's greatest loves. He had an incredible appreciation for classic blues, rock and roll, and many other genres. His favorite artist was Eric Clapton, and he also loved The Beatles, B.B. King, and discovering music from all walks of life. He enjoyed listening to his favorite albums and watching documentaries about the musicians he admired.

Rick found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching his favorite movies and television shows, barbecuing for family gatherings, dancing, and playing cards—especially a spirited game of Crazy Eights. He treasured every opportunity to laugh, make memories, and spend time with those he loved.

Above all else, Rick's greatest joy was his family. He was a proud father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He especially cherished his daily conversations with his beloved sister, Doris, always checking in on her and making sure she was doing well. His love for his family was constant, unconditional, and evident in everything he did.

Rick is survived by his loving sister, Doris L. Robertson; his four daughters, Debbie McGuiness, Michelle Orduñez (McGuiness), Lisa McGuiness, and Monica McGuiness; his many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carmel Alice "Babe" McGuiness, and his sister, Barbara Garcia.

Rick will be remembered for his compassionate heart, unwavering loyalty, warm sense of humor, and generous spirit. His life was a testament to faith, redemption, perseverance, and the power of second chances. He leaves behind not only a family who loved him deeply but also a legacy of hope in the countless lives he touched through his work, his friendship, and his example.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Rick's faith has become sight and that he is now at peace with his Lord and Savior. His memory will forever live on in the stories we tell, the music we hear, the Giants games we watch, and the love we continue to share because of him.

A celebration of Rick's life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be updated as arrangements are finalized.

The McGuiness family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has brought great comfort and will never be forgotten.

"I was sick and tired of being sick and tired." Those words changed Rick's life, and through his recovery, he helped change the lives of countless others.

Carmen Monsivais

Carmen L Monsivais

OBITUARY

Mary Carmen Monsivais, age 99, entered into the hands of our Lord and Savior on May 23, 2026 in Lodi, California surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Carmen was born on March 20, 1927 in Tucson, Arizona. She graduated from Tucson High School where she loved to engage in gym sports like basketball. After graduation Carmen held various sales and commercial jobs.

While in a brief marriage, Carmen was blessed with one daughter, Mary Elizabeth. In 1963 mother and daughter relocated to San Jose, California to reconnect with relatives and start a new life. While living in San Jose, Carmen was able to participate in the now former Santa Clara County Employment and Training Agency (SETA) Program.  Upon receiving her certificate degree, Carmen was hired by the office of the District Attorney of Santa Clara County where her clerical training, administrative skills, and fluency in Spanish served her and the department well.  Always a team player with a congenial personality, Carmen often translated for Spanish-speaking individuals in court and often addressed the judicial needs and proceedings of a court hearing. Carmen held this position for 17 years. 

It was there in San Jose where she met the love of her life, Joe Torres Monsivais. While both commuting to work by bus, they developed a friendship which soon led to marriage. After both retiring from their respective jobs, they settled in Lodi, California. After the sudden death of her husband in 1994, Carmen, with diligent effort, started a new life for herself.  Beginning a new life of self-sufficiency, Carmen enjoyed taking the Dial-A-Ride bus to her doctor’s appointments and on shopping adventures to various local stores.

Carmen had a sharp memory and possessed a keen sense of storytelling. She often reminisced about growing up in Tucson and shared specific details about both family events and history. Carmen was the heart of her family and her grandson’s dearest “Nana.” She loved to take trips with her family, especially to Las Vegas where she was adept at playing the slot machines at various casinos. Among family, Carmen was known to be very lucky at gambling and once won $5000 on a replay lottery ticket.

Carmen had a great sense of humor and was a source of warmth, kindness, and joy to her family and anyone who knew her. In her later years she enjoyed participating in local elections, attending lunches at LOEL Senior Center, completing Word Search books, reading crime novels, and watching various television programs such as morning game shows and crime series. 

Carmen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe T. Monsivais; her parents, Joaquin and Geromina Lopez; her siblings, Albert Lopez, Margaret Ortega, Alice Zazueta, Dolores Wallin, and Joaquin (Jack) Lopez.

Carmen is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Monsivais-Ordonia (Michael A. Ordonia), and her grandson, Nathan LaMusga; her sister Nellie Moreno, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to thank Lodi Creek Post-Acute and VITAS Healthcare for their compassionate care during the final months of Carmen’s life.

Sam Muok

January 3, 1938 - May 21, 2026

Sam Lemond Muok was born on January 3, 1938, in Mongkol Borey, Cambodia, to Puk Muok and Srai Reas. He was the oldest of six children. He passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 88, surrounded by the love of his family.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and community leader. Sam lived a life of service, resilience, and dedication to his family.

In 1958, he moved to Phnom Penh to enlist in the Cambodian Navy’s “Fourth Promotion” cohort, where he rose through the ranks to serve as a First Lieutenant. In June 1960, Sam married the love of his life, Noeur Nou, in Battambang. In the early 1960s, while serving with the Navy, Sam earned a rare and prestigious opportunity to study in France, requiring him to spend two years away from his young family. Upon his return, he and Noeur continued to build their life together, eventually raising six children. In 1970, the family relocated from Phnom Penh to the Ream Naval Base where they lived until the fall of Cambodia in April 1975.

On April 17, 1975, the rise of the Khmer Rouge forced the family to flee their homeland in search of safety.

The family eventually settled in Oakland, California, where Sam and Noeur worked tirelessly to build a new life for their family. He took on odd jobs including being ship loader and gas station attendant until he landed a permanent employment at Bell-Carter Olive Company as a mechanic.

After five years at Bell-Carter Olive Company, Sam and his family moved to Stockton, California. He began working as a mechanic at the University of the Pacific. He became an integral part of the growing Cambodian community in Stockton. He sponsored refugees and helped families settle by translating, securing food, housing, and employment. He was an early and instrumental member of Wat Dhammararam Buddhist temple in Stockton, which served as a vital source of faith, community, and tradition for Cambodian families building new lives in America. He helped the temple expand from a small temple in the 80s to become what it is today. Through hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice, he provided for his family and created opportunities for future generations. Sam remained at UOP until his retirement in 2000.

Beyond his professional life, Sam was a man of warmth and lighthearted spirit. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and love for joking around, qualities that endeared him to everyone he met—from his lifelong friends to his cherished children and grandchildren. Deeply caring and loving, he nurtured these bonds with a kindness and generosity that left an enduring impact on all who knew him.

Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Noeur, six children, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and four sisters.

Thank you, Pa and Ta, for everything you gave us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your strength, and your unwavering love. Everything we are today is a reflection of the foundation you built for our family.

You lived a life defined by humility, hard work, courage, and devotion to those you loved. Your memory will live on forever in our hearts and minds.

Rafael Ramirez Ceja, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 83.

Rafael was born on June 22, 1942. He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His warm smile, caring heart, and joyful spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Rafael is survived by his beloved wife, Graciela Ceja; his children, Juan Carlos Ceja and wife Griselda, Silvia Cortes and husband Abraam, Rafael Ceja and wife Sol, and Monica Ceja; and his grandchildren, Eden, Elias, Alyssa, Natalie, Isaiah, and Noemi - each one a reflection of the legacy he leaves behind.

Rafael’s love, guidance, and devotion to his family will forever remain in their hearts. He will be deeply missed. But the love he gave doesn’t go anywhere - it lives on in every person he touched.

OBITUARY

Simon Mancinas Jr. was born in Redlands California on August 28, 1939 where he grew up a proud orange picker who helped support his family from a young age. For over 40 years Simon lived in Stockton where he worked for Swift Roofing and raised his children and his grandchildren, cultivating a passion for Northern California and roofing hundreds of buildings across it's landscapes. Known for his passion for the Raiders no matter what stadium they played in, Simon was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose strength has carried a great many. Simon is survived by his six children Monica, Sacha, Simon, Victor, Frankie and Timothy. As well as his seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He passed away on May 15, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
