Larry Russell Napier, 78, passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his home in Laclede, Idaho. Larry was born on July 21, 1937 in St. Clair, Missouri to Russell and Linnie Napier. He worked for over 30 years as a supervisor for Certified Western Grocers in Stockton, CA before retiring in 2005. Larry marred Sandra Castagna on March 9, 1995 in Lake Tahoe, NV. They resided in Lodi, CA before making their final home in Laclede. Larry made close special friends as a member of the Laclede Community Church. He also enjoyed his morning meetings with the ROMEO’s (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Larry was very social, enjoyed people, woodworking, and traveling. Larry is survived by his wife Sandra McGrath-Napier of Laclede; four sisters, Peggy, Dorothy, Rita, and Pat; three daughters, Sheryl (Dave) Miller of Galt, CA, Shelly (Bobby) McGrath-Pimentel of Manteca, CA, and Deidra (Greg) Carpenter of Clements, CA; Larry was blessed with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss him deeply. He is also survived by his dog, “Jackson” and cat “Bandit” He was preceded in death by his parents and three additional sisters. Funeral services will be held at Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane in Lodi, California.
