Wenford Threet

September 13, 1954 - February 3, 2019

Wenford Threet, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2019, at the age of 64. Wenford was born on September 13, 1954, in French Camp, California to Alvin Cotis Threet and Allie Rene Kelley-Threet, He was the fourth son of six children, three brothers, Jessie Otis, Alvin Lamont, and Christopher. In addition he has two sisters, Robin Lynne and Harlan Rene, Harlan Rene preceded Wenford in death.

Wenford spent his childhood in Stockton, California. He was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located in Stockton California, on September 13, 1956. He graduated from Franklin High School, located in Stockton California in May of 1972. Wenford as a youth was a free spirit and happy go lucky person. He is also known as, “Goose”, when asked how he acquired that name, his mother stated that when he was born he made the sound like that of a Goose, and that name stuck with him the remainder of his life.

Wenford was blessed with a son, Terrell L. Threet, who was born and raised in Stockton, California. Later, Wenford met and married the love of his life Marian Celeste Wyrick. They were a beautiful couple and Lived in the Stockton and San Jose area. To this union a daughter was born, Saskia Threet. They adored and cared for their daughter as she brought joy into their lives.

Wenford’s professional life was primarily in the medical field as a LVN. He demonstrated the patience and intellect as he assisted others in need of medical attention. The family often stated that Wenford was the smartest one in the family, he could cite medical terminology with ease. Wenford devotedly cared for his Mother, Allie Rene, Father, Herle Maynard and sister Harlan Rene Kendrickes, during their time of need.

God decided to call Wenford home on February 3, 2019, he leaves to cherish in his memory, one son Terrell L. Threet of Stockton, Ca. One Daughter Saskia Nicole Blackmon, Son in law, Willie Blackmon, Six Grandchildren, Mercedes Threet, Brittany Hernandez Threet, Mariah White, Tyler Vernon, Iyanna Vernon, Nallisse Blackmon, One Great –grandchild Amaya Rae Bishop, of Bakersfield, California. He also leaves, three Brothers, Jessie Otis Kelly and Sister in law, Connie Kelly, of Pixley California, Alvin Lamont Threet and Sister in law, Lavada Threet, of Stockton, California and Christopher Threet, of Stockton, California, and one Sister , Robin Lynne Dartis and Brother in law Demetri Joseph Dartis of Sacramento California, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. We Love you Goose, always have and always will.

VISITATION:
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14th, 2019, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, in the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240.

SERVICES:
A service will be held on Friday, February 15th, 2019, at 1:00pm, also in Vineyard Chapel. A committal will follow, to take place in Cherokee Memorial Park.
