December 31, 1931 - April 4, 2021

Missionary Rev. Ralph Wesley Hiatt was born on December 31, 1931 to Lester and Rachel Hiatt in Portland, Oregon. He went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the age of 89. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, his sister, Joyce Solomon, and his brother, Melvin Hiatt. He is followed in death by his sister, Joanne Stradley, five days after his passing. He is survived by his sister, Carol Six of Washington State. Ralph is also survived by his recent wife, Janie Hiatt Flatt, his sons and their wives, Ron and Elisabet Hiatt, Tim and Cheryl Hiatt, and Mike and Mary Hiatt, and his grandchildren, Michelle and Tyler Slacks and Evan Hiatt.

Having graduated from Southern California College (now Vanguard University), Ralph received his ministerial license in 1955 with the Assemblies of God and his ordination in 1958. While serving as the Senior Pastor of Colfax Assembly of God in 1963 with his wife, Frances, they answered the call to missions. They became appointed missionaries to Argentina in 1963 and served faithfully for 46 years. During their tenure in Argentina they helped plant 43 churches and mentored Argentine believers to pastor each church. Through their evangelism work and partnership with the Church in Argentina, they made an eternal impact for the Kingdom of God. Upon moving back to the United States in 2001, the Hiatts continued to be a blessing to Argentina, congregations, missionaries, and the local church. In early 2010, Rev. Ralph & Frances officially retired as Assemblies of God missionaries and she passed away in late 2010. Ralph continued his call to the Lord and impacting the Kingdom right up to his final days.
