In March of 1948, Peggy married Richard Genasci. Together they had four children. When the marriage ended in divorce, Peggy returned to college and completed her teaching credential, counseling credential and masters degree while raising her 4 children .
Education was one of Peggy’s greatest passions. Her career spanned decades, beginning as a substitute teacher and progressing to elementary school teacher, elementary school counselor, and ultimately high school counselor at Edison High School where she retired at 70 years old. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
