Larry Dean Walter, 88, of Galt, California, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026, in Lodi, California. Born and raised in Indiana, Larry made his way to California after starting a family, and it became the place he called home. He was a man who knew how to enjoy life — whether he was tapping his foot to a favorite song, cutting a rug on the dance floor, or admiring the timeless lines of a Studebaker. His love for music, dancing, and classic cars brought joy not just to himself, but to everyone around him.
Larry is lovingly survived by his daughters Jennifer and Judi; his son-in-law Paul; his grandchildren Melissa and her husband Brandon, Tabitha, and Keys; and his great- grandchildren Oliver, Brayden, and Wyatt. He leaves behind a family richly blessed by his presence, and a memory that will dance on in their hearts forever.

A Memorial service for Larry Walter will be held Thursday, May 21st at 11am with lunch following. It will be held at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 972 Vintage Oak Ave, Galt, CA, 95632. Please wear bright colors to celebrate Larry’s bright spirit.
