February 20, 1927 - June 4, 2026
Leon Semana — son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, entrepreneur, and faithful servant of God — lived 99 remarkable years with faith, joy, and an unshakeable love for family.
Born in Rosario, Batangas, Philippines, Leon was a man of deep Catholic faith, entrepreneurial spirit, and quiet generosity — working tirelessly to support his family and invest in the futures of those around him. Even during World War II, he chose to remember the music, friendships, and tango dancing that brought joy through difficult times — a love he carried for the rest of his life.
In his fifties, he boldly immigrated to the United States, building a new life and watching his family flourish — something he considered his greatest achievement. He was famously resourceful, believed in fixing rather than replacing, and hand-crafted his own calendars for years, a habit as practical and endearing as the man himself.
He is survived by his wife Josefa; daughters Myrna, Margie, Olive, and Erma; sons Guido, Dennis, Ronnel, Noel, and Teddy; and a loving extended family whose lives are richer for having known him.
Leon fell just one year short of his goal of reaching 100 — but 99 years of that much love, faith, and living is a life truly well done.

A visitation will be held from 9:00am - 8:00pm on Monday, June 22nd, 2026 in the Zinfandel Room at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
