Diana Manos

Adamantia Diana Loula Manos

July 27, 1939 - July 20, 2026

We are heartbroken to announce the passing (falling asleep) of Diana Manos.

Diana was born on July 27, 1939, to Anastasios and Anna Vorrises Mouzakis in the village of Ano Gerakario on the beautiful island of Zakynthos, Greece, during World War II. Her mother, Anna, passed away when Diana was very young. The 1953 Ionian earthquake devastated the island of Zakynthos.

In 1955, at the age of 15, her father sent Diana to live with his sister, Maria Mouzakis Kapnisis, in Stockton, California, for a better life in the USA. She attended Edison High School and Stockton College.

In 1958, she met the love of her life, Chris Manouras Manos, also from Zakynthos, at the old Saint Basil Greek Orthodox Church in Stockton, California. They were married on August 16, 1959, at the old Saint Basil Church.

Later that year, they moved to Santa Maria, California, where they welcomed their son Danny in 1961. In 1964, they moved to Tracy, California, where they welcomed their other son, Tommy. Diana made it a priority to show her children love, and she adored her family.

Diana and Chris owned and operated the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Lodi, California, from 1977 through 1988. They also owned and operated Croce's Restaurant in Lodi from 1988 through 1993. Diana and Chris were very successful business partners. Diana lovingly greeted and hosted thousands of customers in their businesses.

Diana and Chris were married for 59 years until Chris passed away in 2019. They truly adored each other.

Diana loved traveling back and forth to Greece to visit friends and family. She loved volunteering for her church, giving to many different charities, making Greek pastries, dachshund dogs, and visiting and making friends in assisted living facilities. She was truly adorable.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Manos; her mother and father, Anastasios and Anna Mouzakis; her stepmother, Dionysia Mouzakis; her brother, Kostantinos (Niki) Mouzakis; her sister, Eleanora Mouzakis; and her in-laws, Angelo and Popi Manouras, and Bobby and Joanna Papadakis.

Diana is survived by her two sons, Danny and Tommy Manos of Lodi, California, and by her nieces and nephews in Greece: Tasso and Anna Mouzakis, Menelaus Manouras, Hadoula Baikas, and Evangelos Papadakis.

May Adamatia's memory truly be eternal.
