OBITUARY
Trica Ellen Hutching-Carlos was an avid gardener, sharing her plants and cuttings with friends. She served her community as a volunteer firefighter and, in 1990, broke barriers by becoming a licensed contractor in the traditionally male-dominated construction industry. There, she found both professional fulfillment and her soulmate, Ermand Carlos. Family and animals held a special place in Trica’s heart. Though she endured the profound loss of her son Wes, and her husband, Ermand, she was able to persevere. She is survived by one son. Her beloved cats and dogs, especially her Scottish Fold, Roxy, brought her immense comfort and companionship. Even in her final years, Trica faced stage 4 cancer with extraordinary strength, courage, and determination. Her legacy lives on in her plants she shared and in the hearts of her friends.
