OBITUARY
Donald John Biancalana passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and a family who loved him dearly.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army, including service in Korea, before dedicating 30 years of his life to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department. His life was marked by hard work, loyalty, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Above all else, Donald was a family man. He was a loving father to his son, Cory Biancalana of Cody, Wyoming, and his daughter, Paula Brooks of Lodi, California. He was a devoted Nonno to his three grandchildren, Cade, Gillian, and Gia, who brought him tremendous pride and joy. Since 2021, Donald had made his home in Lodi with his daughter Paula, son-in-law Clinton, and granddaughters Gillian and Gia, where he remained a beloved part of their everyday lives. He is also survived by his former wife, Linda Church of Union City, California.
Donald was truly one of a kind. With his unmistakably dry sense of humor, sharp mind, and generous heart, he had a way of making those around him laugh while quietly ensuring that everyone he loved was taken care of. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to help a family member or close friend in need, never expecting anything in return.
He enjoyed fishing, keeping a watchful eye on the stock market, and, perhaps most of all, spending time at the casino. Donald was happiest surrounded by family and friends, enjoying a little gambling and the excitement of his next big win. He was known to spend an entire 24 hours at the casino without missing a beat, living life entirely on his own terms. He also held a special place in his heart for his beloved Chihuahua, Buddy, who preceded him in death several years ago.
Donald lived life to the fullest, right up until his final days. His mind remained remarkably sharp, his wit never faded, and his independent spirit never wavered. He was a man who enjoyed life's simple pleasures, valued his family above all else, and showed his love not just through words, but through a lifetime of generosity and unwavering support.
To his family, he was so much more than a father and grandfather. He was their protector, their constant, and the man they could always count on. His presence in their home and in their lives will be deeply missed, and the love he gave so freely will remain with them forever.
Donald will be remembered for his service to his country and community, his quick wit, his generous spirit, and, most importantly, the extraordinary love he had for his family.

SERVICE
A funeral service honoring Donald's life will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240. in the Temple of Memories. Assistance for directions, see front desk at office, north end of the park.
