OBITUARY
Lisa Gay Magness Shipley, 64, was born in Sacramento, California, and passed away from a heart attack on August 22, 2026.
Lisa shared 38 loving years with her partner, Randy Shipley, in Acampo, California. Their story began when Lisa was working as a waitress. Randy was immediately smitten with her and kept asking her out. Lisa told him she had a boyfriend, to which Randy famously replied, “Then dump him.” That persistence was the beginning of a beautiful 38-year love story.
Lisa loved being surrounded by her friends, shopping, and especially reading. But perhaps nothing brought her more happiness than caring for her beloved parrots with Randy. Her birds meant the world to her, and they were a very special part of her life.
Lisa will be remembered for the love she shared, the friendships she cherished, and the special bond she had with her beloved birds. She will be deeply missed by Randy, her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
GRAVESIDE
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
