August 22, 1927 - February 6, 2019

MaryAnn passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Graduated from Stockton High School and owner of Porpoise Swim Shop in Stockton. MaryAnn was a past president for WPAC and proud sky diver at the age of 85. Married to the love of her life for 57 years Milton Wirth. Survived by daughter Sherri, sons Mikel and Douglas.

SERVICE
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, February 13th, 2019, at 2:00pm, and will be held at the Sierra View Mausoleum in Cherokee Memorial Park, located at Harney Lane at Hwy 99, Lodi, CA 95240.

Georgia Gregory

January 24, 1945 - February 6, 2019
Georgia lived in Lodi for over 30 years. A member of Beta Sigma Phi for 55 years, member of Linden chapter for 47 years. Married Dennis McAuliffe on Oct. 1, 2000. She was cosmetologist for 20 years and realtor for 15 years. Her passion was designing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Georgia is survived by husband Dennis McAuliffe, daughter Shanna Gregory-Cariglio, grandson Blake Scagliotti, siblings Gary (Susan) Anders, Barbara (Jim) Nesbitt, niece Shelly Rogers and nephew Chuck Anders. Preceded in death parents James and Ethel Anders, husband Russel Gregory and nephew James Anders.

VISITATION:
There will be a visitation on Monday, February 11th, 2019, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm, and will be held in the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240.

Stanley Rall

February 6, 1931 - February 6, 2019

Stanley "Stan" Robert Rall, age 88,  of Lodi, CA, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, his birthday.  He was born in 1931 in Ashley, North Dakota to Gottlieb Rall and Rose (Wohl) Rall Hipfner. Stan and his family moved to Lodi, CA. in October of 1941.  He grew up attending Lincoln, Needham and Lodi High School, Class of 1949. While in high school, along with his regular studies and his love for journalism, he contributed to the school newspaper, The Flame.  During this time he also had a part time job at Abrahamson Printing.  He attended San Joaquin Delta College. 

He was drafted in 1952 by the US Army during the Korean War.  Stan spent time in Japan and Korea, as a member of Battery A 424th Field Artillery  Battalion.  His unit provided a South Korean Infantry Division with artillery support and received two Presidential Unit Citations for holding their area in the Iron Triangle and blocking the breakthrough by the Chinese army until counter attacks could be made.

Shortly after his return from Korea Stan met his wife, Virginia Schumacher,  "the cute red head singing in the choir" at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Lodi and married there on May 28, 1955.  Together they had three daughters -Susan, Barbara and Brenda.

Stan joined the Lodi Fire Department as a fireman in 1956.  During his thirty  years of employment he moved through the ranks and for his last seven years served as Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal. He was also active with the California State Fireman's Association, taking part in numerous fire prevention programs, and arson investigations in cooperation with the State Fire Marshal's office. He retired from the department in 1985. Prior to and during his retirement, Stan was also a property manager for thirty-six years working with his close friends Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson.

Stan was a life long Lutheran and presently a member of Saint Paul Lutheran  Church. He was a member of Friends of the Lodi Public Library, serving as  secretary and spending many hours volunteering in the book store.  He was  also, a past member of the American Legion Post 22 and the Kiwanis Club of Greater Lodi.
In his retirement he kept busy with his passions - researching his family genealogy, keeping him active with the Germans from Russia Society and the Glückstahl Colonies Research Association, tracing the family to the 16th  century.  Stan's other interests included traveling with Virginia, woodworking, fishing, reading, daily visits to the Village Coffee Shop to have coffee with "the guys" and his favorite was attending his grandchildren's sporting and music events.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Myron.  He is  survived by Virginia, his wife of 63 years, and his children Susan Pirie (Robert), Barbara Doucette (Tom) and Brenda Colla (Corey); grandchildren, Jacqueline Pirie, Mallory Pirie, Reed Doucette, Lauren (Doucette) Kettles and Matt, Alissa (Heil) Mosley and Josh, and Alex Colla; great-grandchildren Brooklynn and Bradley Mosley.  Also, his two nephews Michael and Mark Rall.

SERVICES:
A service will be held on Friday, February 15th, 2019, at 10:00am, and will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 701 S. Pleasant Ave, Lodi CA, 95240. Immediately followed by a reception at the Church's Morton Hall. Committal will be  private. 

In lieu of flowers, Stan's wishes were that anyone wanting to make a memorial contribution can donate to St. Paul Lutheran Church, address above.

Minton (Bill) Peterson

November 18, 1942 - February 6, 2019

Bill Peterson sadly passed away in the state he always loved, Wyoming, on February 6, 2019. He was born in Lodi, CA to the late Dr. L.J. Peterson and Miriam (Minton) Peterson on Nov. 18, 1942. Bill very much enjoyed growing up on E. Pine St. across from Lincoln school and spending time out on the ranch in Lockeford. He was very active in 4-H for many years raising registered Black Angus. In 1956 at 4H camp in Lake Tahoe, he met his forever loving wife Karla Ann Grupe, whom he married in 1964. They spent 55 years in a wonderful and exciting marriage.

Bill was a calf roper at heart, even roping buffalo in Burson. Bill received his Real Estate/Brokers License and sold Real Estate for 45 years in the Lockeford area. Bill and his family served as missionaries in Congo, Africa. They also traveled throughout Africa, Middle East, and Europe. He was President of Clement’s Buckaroos, member of Lodi Board of Realtors, Lockeford Community Service District, and developed Lambert Subdivision in Lockeford. Bill was also a member of the English Oaks SDA Church. He initiated the buying of Grace Church in Lockeford which is now Lockeford SDA Church. Bill was very active in his church and loved taking kids on pack trips to the Sierra’s with his horses and mules. Bill was such a fun, loving, and generous man. His strong integrity was always a role model to all of his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Karla of 55 years, sons Cody Peterson of Sutter Creek, CA,  Jim (Cara) Peterson of Buffalo Wyoming, and daughter Kelly (Bill) Thomas of Big Horn, Wyoming. Grandchildren Leah, Grace, Karly, Lilly, and Nathan. Sisters Lea Henderson of Santa Cruz, CA and Susan Peterson of Sutter Creek, CA

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Dr L.J. and Miriam Peterson, brother Doc Peterson DVM (Pete) and brother Jack Peterson.

Private Internment will be held at Harmony Grove Cemetery by Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home.

Memorial Services to be held at English Oaks Church Friday, Feb 22 at 2:00pm.

Erleen DuBose

February 3, 1924 - February 4, 2019

Erleen Dubose was born to Peter and Elizabeth Nightingale on February 3, 1924 in Shafter, CA, and was the first of two children. She graduated high school from Kern Academy and attended La Sierra college in Riverside. After her marriage to Robert DuBose, they moved to the Lodi area in the early 50's. She continued her college education at U.O.P, while raising their two children. She was a homemaker and entrepreneur. Every year they would enjoy a 10 day vacation to Yosemite.


Erleen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, their son, and her brother.
She is survived by her daughter Valerie, 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Terry Howard La Porte

November 26, 1946 - February 4, 2019

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Terry H. La Porte on Monday, February 4, 2019.

Terry La Porte started his career with the Division of Juvenile Justice (then known as the California Youth Authority) in 1968 as a youth counselor in Stockton. In 1979, he promoted to Senior Group Supervisor and continued to move up the ranks before retiring as a Senior Youth Counselor in 2000.

During his tenure Terry was known as an extremely supportive and understanding supervisor. He was a kind-hearted and loyal friend and was loved by so many. Terry always looked at the glass half full rather than half empty- he was a “prankster” always making staff and youth laugh. You always knew Terry was around because of his infectious “laugh” that would fill the room. Terry greatly contributed to staff and to the youth he served. Terry will certainly be missed by his family and friends.

Survived by: Barbara Bailey; Hollie Noel La Porte-Lopez (daughter); Justin Howard La Porte (son) and six grandchildren Justin, Efren, Sarah, Daniella and Eleazar La Porte-Lopez and Liam Noah La Porte. Wenford Threet

September 13, 1954 - February 3, 2019

Wenford Threet, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2019, at the age of 64. Wenford was born on September 13, 1954, in French Camp, California to Alvin Cotis Threet and Allie Rene Kelley-Threet, He was the fourth son of six children, three brothers, Jessie Otis, Alvin Lamont, and Christopher. In addition he has two sisters, Robin Lynne and Harlan Rene, Harlan Rene preceded Wenford in death.

Wenford spent his childhood in Stockton, California. He was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located in Stockton California, on September 13, 1956. He graduated from Franklin High School, located in Stockton California in May of 1972. Wenford as a youth was a free spirit and happy go lucky person. He is also known as, “Goose”, when asked how he acquired that name, his mother stated that when he was born he made the sound like that of a Goose, and that name stuck with him the remainder of his life.

Wenford was blessed with a son, Terrell L. Threet, who was born and raised in Stockton, California. Later, Wenford met and married the love of his life Marian Celeste Wyrick. They were a beautiful couple and Lived in the Stockton and San Jose area. To this union a daughter was born, Saskia Threet. They adored and cared for their daughter as she brought joy into their lives.

Wenford’s professional life was primarily in the medical field as a LVN. He demonstrated the patience and intellect as he assisted others in need of medical attention. The family often stated that Wenford was the smartest one in the family, he could cite medical terminology with ease. Wenford devotedly cared for his Mother, Allie Rene, Father, Herle Maynard and sister Harlan Rene Kendrickes, during their time of need.

God decided to call Wenford home on February 3, 2019, he leaves to cherish in his memory, one son Terrell L. Threet of Stockton, Ca. One Daughter Saskia Nicole Blackmon, Son in law, Willie Blackmon, Six Grandchildren, Mercedes Threet, Brittany Hernandez Threet, Mariah White, Tyler Vernon, Iyanna Vernon, Nallisse Blackmon, One Great –grandchild Amaya Rae Bishop, of Bakersfield, California. He also leaves, three Brothers, Jessie Otis Kelly and Sister in law, Connie Kelly, of Pixley California, Alvin Lamont Threet and Sister in law, Lavada Threet, of Stockton, California and Christopher Threet, of Stockton, California, and one Sister , Robin Lynne Dartis and Brother in law Demetri Joseph Dartis of Sacramento California, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. We Love you Goose, always have and always will.

Annette Morser

August 31, 1960 - February 2, 2019

Annette Morser, of Hayward, CA, passed away on February 2, 2019 at the age of 58.  She was born on August 31, 1960 in Maryland to Robert and Isabel Ginter.

Annette’s main love was talking about the Bible as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, but she also enjoyed making flower arrangements and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Annette is survived by her two brothers: Mark Benavidez and Anthony Ginter; and four sisters: Ruth Martinez, Diane Blake, Linda Abeyta, and Roberta Ginter; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Michael Bertsch

July 9, 1954 - February 1, 2019

Michael Bertsch, also know as "Micky", "Mikie", and "Mike", was born on July 9th, 1954 in Ashley, North Dakota to parents Walter and Lorene Bertsch. He was the youngest of four children; sister Gwen Leonard, brother James "Jim" Bertsch, and sister Lois Boliou.
In 1959 he moved to the Lodi area where he attended Reese, Woodbridge, and Lodi High- where he graduated in 1973. He married Noreen Goehring in 1974, sharing their lives for almost 45 years. Together they welcomed their one and only son, Jeremy in 1974. Mike was a very hard worker who always helped out whenever asked and worked very hard to provide for his family. He had a very strong work ethic, starting at a very young age with a paper route. Once old enough, Mike worked at Benders Gas Station and several others. He worked for Lodi Iron Works as a furnace tender and at the Pinkerton Foundry. He worked in various areas of construction from concrete foundations, framing and plumbing to electrical and wood working. Just recently, he was awarded his clock celebrating his 25 years of custodial work for Lodi Unified School District.
He was looking forward to retiring, having only about a year left, and had been making plans to go camping this summer. He liked camping, fishing, swimming and Harley rides with his son Jeremy. He also loved just staying home and watching his favorite shows; Fixer Upper, Pawn Stars, Grease Monkey, Family Guy, How It's Made as well as several others.
His love for his son Jeremy, daughter in law Kristen, and his grandson Jackson, dogs Buster and Brandie, and his wife Noreen could be seen in the twinkle in his baby blues. He loved his family with his big, quiet heart. He was always deep in thought and was the gentle giant that was the rock in our lives. He will be missed by many.
Mike is preceded in death by Mom and Dad Walter and Lorene Bertsch. He is survived by wife Noreen, son Jeremy, daughter in law Kristen and grandson Jackson Bertsch, and Jacob Moreno, sister Gwen (George) Leonard, brother James "Jim" (Rickie) Bertsch, sister Lois Boliou and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

VISITATION:
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10th, 2019, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, and will take place at the Vineyard Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240.

Mike's celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 11th from 12-4pm at the Moose Lodge located at 3824 E. Woodbridge Rd., Acampo. A memorial fund in memory of Michael Bertsch is accepting donations at F+M Bank under Noreen or Jeremy Bertsch #1047890601.

Jeffery Huggins

Jeffery Alonzo Huggins of Stockton, CA passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home at the age of 55 on January 31, 2019.  Jeff was born on November 6, 1963 in Stockton, CA to Raymond and Arlee Huggins. He was a High School Graduate, Class of 1982.  Jeff was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, (IBEW) Local 595 for 25 years.  Jeff was an avid golfer even thought he was a top shelf hacker he made two holes in one at Castle Oaks and Manteca Park Golf Courses.  Jeff enjoyed going on rides on his Harley with his brother Greg and friends. 

Jeff is survived by his parents Raymond and Arlee Huggins of Lodi, CA, his brother Gregory Huggins (Vickie) of Lodi and his sister, Suzanne Huggins (Ronald Holton) of Lodi.  Jeff was Uncle to Andrew, Holly, Briana, Shelby, Caden and Great Uncle to Ryan and Finn.  Jeff is also survived by his Aunts and Uncles, Donald (Debby) Huggins, Ronald (Suzanne) Huggins, John (Susan) Sked and his cousins Mark (Terrie) Maxon, Elaina (Derek) Petersen, Bill (Aimee) Huggins, Kristin (Sal) Chavez.  Jeff is preceded in death by his grandparents, one Aunt and one Uncle.  We will always carry you in our Hearts, Jeff.

Robert Greenlee

September 25, 1946 - January 30, 2019

Robert "Bob" Greenlee, 72 of South Dakota, formerly of Lodi passed away on January 30th, 2019 in Lodi. He was born in Calusa, CA to Robert Greenlee and Mary Grab. He was raised and attended to school in Carmi, IL and served in the Air Force 1964-1968. On February 4, 1967 he married Mina Wells in St. Joseph, IL. In 1975 Bob, Mina and family began their travel to California via Pecos, TX and then Stockton. In 1977 he became the service call plumber for Henderson Bros. and moved his family to Lodi.


He served the Lodi area while working for Henderson Bros until 1998. As a recovering alcoholic of over 30 years Bob served the community, volunteering at Alcoholics Anonymous and Alcoholics Victorious. As his children grew he became a great cheerleader, encourager, coach and referee for soccer. He could often be found on the sidelines coaching with his booming voice, or refereeing for the recreation games and tournaments.


In 2010, Bob and Mina began their dream of traveling in their RV all over the United States, visiting family, making friends along the way and eventually calling South Dakota home. Bob was often the funny guy of the group, and loved to give everyone a "hard time".

Bob was preceded in death by his grandchildren Richard Joseph O'Boyle V "Ricky 5", and Rachel Greenlee. He is survived by his wife Mina Greenlee. Children Robert (Nilesh Charan) Greenlee, Jeanne (Scott) Ehlers, Shana (Rick) O'Boyle, Eddy (Eileen) Greenlee, Daniel (Megan) Greenlee. Grandchildren, Garret, Riley, Chad, Erin and Ian Greenlee; Mason, Maddie and McKenna Ehlers; Ricky and Tommy O'Boyle.

SERVICES:
A Memorial service for Bob will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11:00am at Faith Community Church located at 2223 W Kettleman Ln. in Lodi, CA.
