Edna Farmer

January 22, 1922 – April 26, 2019

Edna Mae Farmer, aged 97, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 26, 2019 after a battle with metastatic breast cancer. Edna was born in Bremerton, Washington to Ira Wilson and Marguarite (Burns) Wilson. In 1943 Edna moved to Angles Camp to be with her sister, Betty Soracco. While there she met the love of her life Lloyd W. Farmer. Together they had three children, Lloyd, Jeanne and Mark. Sadly Lloyd W. Farmer passed away in 1965. During her life she worked at Lerner’s, Montgomery Ward and retired from San Joaquin County Auditor Controllers office. She was an avid sports fan especially the “A”s. She loved to play BINGO and play the slots. Her family meant everything to her. She loved having her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren around and always made herself available to care for them. She touched many lives and made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd W. Farmer, her bothers, Harold Wilson, Roy Wilson, and her sister Betty Soracco. Her sister Patty Zerr survives her. Children; Lloyd N. Farmer and Pamela Farmer, Jeanne Michel and Mark Farmer. Grandchildren; Shelly (Bob) Hardcastle, Joe (Kaylene) Farmer, Matt (Melani) Farmer, Amber Greenwood, Lisa (Mark) Kapogiannis, Suzanne (Damon) Cooper, Mark (Anna) Michel, Amy (Iracelis Mercado-Michel), Michael Michel, Shannon (Daniel Ahumada), Lloyd Farmer. 21 great grandchildren and 27 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews in California and Washington, also survive her.

Edna lived the last eight years of her life at Rio Las Palmas where she made friends with most of the residents and employees. The family would like to thank Blossom Ridge Hospice for all their hard work and caring support during the last seven months.

VISITATION

Viewing will be Friday, May 3, 2019 from 2pm to 8pm at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home    located at 831 Industrial Way, Lodi, CA 95240.

SERVICE

A memorial service will be held at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240 on Saturday May 4, 2019 at 1:00 o’clock.

Consuelo Casillas

August 7, 1953 - April 25, 2019

Consuelo E. Casillas passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2019 in Lodi, California at the age of 65.
Consuelo was born on August 7, 1953 in Los Angeles, California to parents Antonio and Gabriela Sanchez. She lived much of her life in Stockton and Lodi, CA. She earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from San Joaquin Delta College and completed a certificate program for Drug and Alcohol Counseling at the University of the Pacific. She also earned certification as a Diabetes Educator and a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse. She worked for many years as a nurse at San Joaquin General Hospital, then Kaiser Permanente, notably in the chemical dependency program, completing her career at Health Plan of San Joaquin. Her medical interests included involvement in community wellness and diabetes education. In the spirit of service, she participated in many medical missions to Mexico. She enjoyed trips to Jackson Rancheria and family vacations to Disneyland. She was a devoted mother/grandmother and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all that knew her.
She is survived by her children Manuel (Caroline) Casillas, Kelly (Mark) Bravo, Matthew Casillas, and Daniel (Brandalynn) Casillas; grandchildren Braden, Mackenzie, Matthew, Presley, Adeline, Atticus, and Ava; siblings Jose Sanchez and Marie Wing; many loving nieces and nephews; and ex-husband Manuel Casillas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Robert Sanchez and David Sanchez.

VISITATION

A visitation for Consuelo will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with the Rosary at 6:00pm at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.

SERVICE

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 11:30am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, located at 215 W Walnut St Lodi, CA 95240.

Cipirano Hernandez

October 2, 1932 - April 24, 2019

Cipirano Hernandez, 86, longtime resident of Stockton, CA passed away on April 24, 2019. Cip was born October 2, 1932 in French Camp, CA to Arsenia and Joseph Hernandez. He married the love of his life, Nola Susan Sutherland, on November 25, 1951 and they were married 62 years until Nola's death on August 8, 2014. Cip was a foreman with Tri-Valley Growers and retired over 25 years ago after 35 years of service. Cip was a devoted, son, husband, and father and will be remembered by many as a man with a funny sense of humor.

Cipirano was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, his sister Frances Perez (Joe), and his brother Sam Hernandez. He is survived by his daughter Rosalie Vitina (John), son Donald Hernandez (Mike), daughter Lillian Lee (Greg), brother Joe Hernandez (Margie), sister Juanita Moore, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

VISITATION
There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 at 9:15a.m. at the Evergreen Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

SERVICE
There will be a service on to follow on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 at 10:00am at the Evergreen Chapel and will conclude with a graveside service at Cherokee Memorial Park, located off of Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.

Clifford Nitschke

February 15, 1932 - April 22, 2019

Clifford Allen Nitschke, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at the age of 87. He was born in Eureka, South Dakota on February 15, 1932 to Lydia and Theodore Nitschke. In 1941 he moved with his family to the Lodi area and attended local schools graduating from Lodi High School in 1950. After high school he enlisted in the US Army and was based in Germany during the Korean War. In 1957 he met the love of his life and married Lee Ann (Schlabs) on New Years Eve. Clifford worked at General Mills and Suburban Gas Company to support his wife and three children. During vacations he would take his family on cross-country road trips to see US historic landmarks. These trips were repeated with his grandchildren as well. In between helping raise his grandchildren he became a volunteer extraordinaire.

Family brought him joy and sharing various stories that contained cherished memories. He would always have a joke or story to tell at all the family gatherings. Clifford was preceded in death by his sister Frances Nitschke, his brother Harry Nitschke, and his son-in-law Gary Wong. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Lee Ann Nitschke, his son Clifford (Sherri) Nitschke, his son Steven (Esther) Nitschke, his daughter Susanne Wong, his grandson Theodore (Jennifer) Nitschke, his grandson Benjamin (Jessica) Wong, his grandson Drew Nitschke, his granddaughter Frances (Jared) Hair, his granddaughter Mary Wong, his grandson Jose Nitschke, his granddaughters Anna Nitschke and his two great granddaughters Eliza and Amelia.

Carolyn Schingler

June 10, 1925 - April 21, 2019

Carolyn June Schingler, age 93, passed away April 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Jesse and Elsie Lease, June 10, 1925, in Stockton, California. She attended Victory Grammar School, Stockton High School, College of Pacific, and San Jose State University. She taught school at David Bixler on Union Island and substituted for many years. In her later life she loved being a teacher's aid at Lincoln Elementary School, retiring in her 80's. She was a Brownie, Girl Scout, and Cub Scout Leader. She was active in Lincoln Elementary PTA. She belonged to Omega Nu Sorority, Quail Lakes Baptist Church, and Stockton Water Ski Club. She enjoyed gardening, waterskiing, tennis, and exercising. She was always positive, loved to laugh, enjoyed any food she ate, enjoyed beach days, painting, reading, playing games, and most of all loved being with her family and friends.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband Henry H. Schingler of 56 years, son Bruse Schingler, granddaughter Sara Spinelli, and daughter-in-law Marylou Schingler. She is survived by her brother, Bob Lease (Sue); children, Judy Schingler, Robert Schingler (Mary Brown), and Richard Schingler; Grandchildren James Schingler, Taryn Kinney (Dale), Jason Schingler (Kristan), Robbie Schingler (Jessy), Abbey Elias (Shannon), Rachel Schingler, Richard R. Schingler, Sami Schingler, and Justice Schingler. She also is survived by 4 great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.

A special thanks to Yolanda Tindell, Landa Pichinte, Denise Kost, and Hospice of San Joaquin. She has given many wonderful memories to all who knew and loved her. She will be missed.

Shirley Sue Nies

July 12, 1926 - April 20, 2019

Shirley Sue Nies passed away on April 20, 2019 in Elk Grove, CA at the age of 92. She was born on July 12, 1926 in Iowa to George and Sue Morgan. She lived the past 50 years in Lodi and worked for the State of California for 20 years. Shirley was an active member at Temple Baptist Church, where she participated in the Women's Missionary Fellowship, The Ambassador Class and the Golden Age Fellowship.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Ernest A. Nies Sr.; sister Phyllis Freeman, and brother Jack Morgan. She is survived by her children: Ernest A. Nies Jr. (Debbie), Gene Nies (Sandra), and Phyllis Nies Scott (Clay); 4 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Cherokee Memorial Park. Edwin Seibel Sr.

July 11, 1928 - April 19, 2019

Edwin J. Seibel passed away April 19, 2019 peacefully in his home with sons and family. Born July 11, 1928 in Carrington, ND, Edwin moved to the Lodi area in 1929 with his family; parents, John K. and Antonella Seibel; siblings, Lawrence, Frances, Leora, Leoma, Viola, Mary, Elnora, Robert, John, Gerald, with John, Leora, and Elnora surviving today. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-52, coming back to Lodi; he worked for Guild Winery, retiring after 38 years in 1992. He married Janey Twitty in 1959, and together they had two sons, Edwin Jr & Mark Seibel, in addition to Janey's daughters, Lynda & Debbie Twitty. After divorcing, he married Marylyn Cooper in the early 1970's, and welcomed Marylyn's children Paul Larson, Luwana, David, Geno, Barbette, Randy & Kaylem Cooper to the family. Upon retiring he enjoyed his ever growing extended family including 31 grandchildren. He enjoyed dancing and was an avid bingo player faithfully until the last months of his life. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at 4:00p.m. at the Vineyard Chapel in Cherokee Memorial Park, located on 14165 N. Beckman Road, Lodi CA, 95240.
