George Feicht

May 3, 1943 - August 19, 2020

Born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, George was raised in Compton, California. He attended Manuel Dominguez High School in Compton, California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, and obtained his Masters in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.

During college, he coached basketball and football at Leuders Park for Compton Parks and Rec. It was there he met Frances Esposito and pursued her until she finally agreed to date him. This was the best decision he ever made. They were married almost 54 years.

In 1976, George and Frances moved their family to Linden, California and raised their two daughters to appreciate growing food and raising a lot of pets. From 1977 to 1987, George and Frances were in positions of leadership in the Linden Peters 4-H club while their daughters participated in as many classes, parades, and camps as they possibly could. After 41 years of good country living, they moved to Stockton, California to enjoy being closer to friends during their golden years.

George dedicated his life to helping those in need. He was the San Joaquin County administrator for substance abuse prevention programs. He was also instrumental in establishing the first-ever Drug Court in San Joaquin County.

George was an elder in the Order of White Bison, which offers healing and wellness programs to Native Americans struggling with addiction. In 1996, George traveled to North Dakota with other elders of White Bison to visit White Cloud, the last Albino American bison born and considered to be sacred and spiritually significant. It was there George met the Dalai Lama.

The Dalai Lama stated a life well-lived is one in which we provide peace for others. By giving his support, comfort, and encouragement, George has helped hundreds find the strength to overcome insurmountable odds and know peace.

George is preceded in death by his dad, mother, and brother. He is survived by his wife Frances; his two daughters Kim Verity of Los Altos and Reichel Everhart of Sacramento; and three awesome grandchildren.

(CAMILLA) JEAN SOUTHER (HOMISTON)
Camilla Jean Souther was known by her middle name Jean since her birth on December 8, 1928 in Fargo, ND. She immediately was moved to a small farm in Bowbells, ND, where after WWII she married Marion Julian Souther on June 30, 1946. Eighteen months later they welcomed their first child and soon moved to the home they built themselves until moving to Glasgow, MT in 1954. Jean birthed six children including twins that died in infancy. She was active in the First Methodist Church groups and many local lodges and auxiliaries including scouting for her kids. She loved caring for and helping others in the various organizations and groups to which she belonged, especially helping the youth groups. She was employed at several local businesses, but her last enduring job with the Glasgow Public Schools lunch program she liked most of all working with the kids, especially her grandkids. She retired and remained in Glasgow until 1995 when Marion passed while staying at the Miles City Veterans facility. Her kids had all moved to other states by then, so her sons moved her close to them in Galt, CA where she resided independently in her own home for 22 years until a broken hip in 2017 required her to move to rehab and finally into the Adventist Vienna facility in Lodi, CA where she celebrated her 90 th birthday 19 months ago. Jean tested positive at Vienna for Covid-19 and in less than four days succumbed to the Covid cytokine storm on August 18, 2020 AD in the Lodi Adventist Memorial Hospital, with her son there and daughters close, at the age of 91 years, 7 months, and ten days into the mercy of salvation and peace in her Lord Jesus Christ. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 49 years Marion Julian Souther, twin infant girls Myrtle Joan Souther and Marrian Jean Souther and her parents: Roy Joseph Homiston and Helen Gertrude (Tutt) Homiston., and brother John Joseph Homiston. She is survived by James (Jacky) Souther of Acampo CA, Julaine (Arden) Kolstad of Fountain Hills AZ, Joseph (Mary) Souther of Lodi CA, and Judy Souther of Albuquerque NM. She leaves 9 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren with one more on the way.
A private family benediction will occur Tuesday August 25th at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home before her casket departure for internment with her family plots at the Glasgow (MT) Scotty Highland Cemetery with Bell Mortuary in charge of the Burial Ceremony. Joshua Hinnant

October 17, 1980 - August 15, 2020

Joshua was born in Seguin, Texas to Chico and Gloria Hinnant. He spent the first 5 years of his life living in the country running with his dogs, discovering lizards, snakes, spiders, squirrels and armadillos. In September of 1986 he joined his Mom, Dad and younger brother Matt and moved to Lodi, California just in time to start kindergarten at Tokay Colony K-6. He was so happy. Still living in the country, but now with many new friends. From there he went to Morada Middle School and then on to Tokay High, all along making more and more new friends, many of which remain remarkably close to Josh until present day. His favorite childhood memories were of him and his brother Matt enjoying baseball, karate, county fairs and his watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was also an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants.

After graduating from high school Josh worked for Lodi Unified as a paraeducator assisting with special needs students. He loved that job working with those kids and said that it was so fulfilling and gratifying to help the ones that needed help the most. Later, he got a job making and selling pizza, a job that he enjoyed because, as he put it, it was fun, and he met some interesting people. But something was missing in his life. He yearned for something more career oriented and challenging. That is when he started his career in plumbing service and construction. For almost 20 years he worked for several plumbing contractors in central California all the while wanting to start up his own company. In early 2020 it happened. Hinnant Plumbing was born! Josh knew that before he sold a job, he had to sell himself and he was exceptionally good at that. His magnetic personality and his reputation as being honest, fair and always showing up led to many referrals and his company was doing exceptionally well until his untimely passing.

Joshua loved life and everything it had to offer. He loved the coast: fishing, crabbing, hours on the boogie board and he even tried surfing. He was an avid hunter, spending Spring weekends in the foothills hunting turkey and hunting deer in the Fall with both rifle and bow. He loved motorcycles, snowboarding, skate boarding, flying his drone and exploring caves. He also kept a zoo of strange pets over the years including iguana lizards, boa constrictors and a tarantula. But his biggest joy was his family.

It was New Year’s Eve, 2009 that Josh met Stacey. After dating for a brief period, he knew that he had found the love of his life. Five years later when he came home from work, Stacey presented him with a gift box with 2 baby booties inside…she was pregnant, and Josh was overcome with joy. They had a little boy and named him Joshua John Hinnant, Jr. They called him LJ for little Josh. About 22 months later, Stacey and Josh welcomed a little girl into the world. They named her Glory River Hinnant after Josh’s momma, Gloria.

From Stacey: The qualities I loved most about my Joshua

He was an incredible man. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father. He loved his family with all of his heart. He was noble, honest, warm, kindhearted and always eager to give a helping hand. His friends loved him for his fun-loving personality and loyalty. When Josh walked into a room, everyone knew it and their day got better because he brightened the mood and morale lifted. His handsome smile and warm voice could keep you captivated in a story and he always had a fun way of making everyone feel welcome and included. His work ethic was admirable. He could be trusted and counted on. He was a man of his word. Josh was easy going. He never stressed about the small stuff and he exhibited a peaceful assurance that everything was always going to work out.

Joshua’s passing was preceded by his mother, Gloria Louise Hinnant. His spirit is with his dad, Chico Hinnant, his dearest love and life partner Stacey Licciardi, his son and daughter LJ and Glory Hinnant, brother Matthew and sister in law Fontessa Hinnant, his niece Peysha Hinnant and nephew Jaxon Hinnant. He also leaves behind his adorable and loving dogs, Posey and Kira. Joshua, you are with Momma now and in the arms of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Although we no longer have your physical presence with us, your incredible, loving spirit and so many wonderful memories will be with us always.

May God bless you Joshua Hinnant. Farewell.
