Larry Simpson

April 27, 1941 - April 13, 2021

Larry Owen Simpson was born April 27th, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas and passed at his home in Stockton, California on April 13th, 2021.

Larry had a lively and at times feisty personality – he was always quick to crack a joke or ask you if you had been working much lately. He worked hard all of his life and insisted on maintaining his own home and lawn well into his 70’s. Larry loved to fish, boat, camp, spend time with family and call friends on the phone. In his earlier years he was known to frequent a bar or two and loved a cold Budweiser. He’d wake you up in the morning and tell you how he had been up since 4 or 5 am, ready to go. Larry was disciplined and independent, but he had a soft spot for grandchildren, great grand-children and his little dogs. Larry deeply missed his late loving companion Polly Long ever since her passing in 2017. He talked about Polly and the many years they shared together until his last day.

Larry is preceded in death by his companion of many years Polly Long, his parents Willie and Sylvia, sisters Connie and Peggy, and brother Jimmy. He leaves behind three sons, Terry Simpson, Bobby Simpson and Randy Simpson, daughter-in-law Brandy Simpson, grandchildren Anne Kuharik, Bobby Simpson Jr., Lulu Wendt (Matthew), Terry Simpson Jr., Krista Simpson (Clare), Brittanie Simpson (Nicholas Skobrak), Tori Alejo (Julian), Randy O. Simpson, and Kamryn Simpson, and great-grandchildren Kayla Simpson, Aston Wendt, Giana Alejo, Harper Wendt, Charleigh Skobrak, Madison Kuharik, Rylan Kuharik, Adelyn Kuharik, and Austin Kuharik.
