Linda Faye Price

In Loving Memory of Faye Price (born Linda Faye Lambert)
February 4, 1928 – April 29, 2025

Though born Linda, she lived—and played—like a Faye. And if you ever saw her on a tennis court, you knew she wasn’t just volleying for fun. Faye Price, a small-town girl with a powerful serve and unmistakable presence, has passed on.

Faye was married to Vernon E. Price, and together they built a full and memorable life. He, along with their son, Larry S. Price, preceded her in death.

She was a tennis legend, plain and simple. Faye started the A-Team at Oak Park and brought her skill to every match. Whether managing the Westlane Racquet Club or mentoring young players, she combined grit, grace, and a healthy dose of competitive charm.

Off the court, Faye embraced quieter joys. She loved quilting—her stitches nearly as precise as her backhand—and she especially loved spending time at her beloved Aptos beach house. There, the sun, surf, and a good paperback were always welcome company.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice C. Maran and Vicki L. Morrison, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, who carry on her fire and unstoppable energy.

Faye Price played life like she played tennis—fast, fierce, and with unyielding strength. And though she may have left the court, her legacy will echo with every serve and well- worn quilt.

Game. Set. Match.

Lori Sasaki

      Lori Lynette Sasaki
November 17, 1959 – Easter Sunday April 20, 2025

Lori Lynette Sasaki, 65, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse and friend, peacefully passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born on November 17, 1959, in Lodi, California, Lori's life was a testament to love, compassion and unwavering faith.

Lori graduated from Lodi High School in 1977.

In 1988, she married the love of her life, David Sasaki, and together they built a home filled with warmth and kindness in Acampo, California. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Sean David Sasaki, who along with his wife Alejandra (Jana), brought immense joy to Lori's life through their children Melody and Luca.

After earning her RN degree from Delta College in 1982, Lori dedicated herself to caring for patients at St. Joseph's Hospital and later at the Stockton Dialysis Clinic. In 2001, she took a hiatus to homeschool her son and care for her mother-in-law, Joyce Sasaki. Returning to her calling in 2013, Lori served as a peritoneal dialysis nurse at DaVita in Lodi until 2023, treating patients and colleagues like family.

Lori's passions were as vibrant as her personality. She found joy in going on ‘field trips” with Sean and Jana, Melody and Luca. Her favorites included Lodi Lake, the zoo, flea markets and Disneyland. She enjoyed cooking with her dad, Vern, having Sunday dinners with family and her parents. Lori was busy baking and doing arts and crafts with her grandchildren and especially loved her movie dates with David. Her creativity shone through her Bible journaling, where she blended art with spirituality. A lover of animals, Lori and David opened their hearts and home to countless stray cats and dogs, ensuring each found a loving forever home. Their dog Wilson, was a constant companion on their cherished walks.

Everyone knows Lori for her radiant smile and generous heart because she had an innate ability to uplift those around her. Even though she had stage 4 cancer, she wanted to continue to work as a dialysis nurse, inspiring her patients to live life to the fullest. Her legacy continues in the countless lives she touched.

Lori's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She is survived by her loving parents, Vernon Ladner and Joyce Hopewell; her brother Michael Ladner; her sister, Kelly Shannon (husband Mitch); her sisters-in-law Kathy Takahashi (husband Stan), Karen Yagi (husband Kelly) and adored many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Frank and Joyce Sasaki, brother and sister-in-law Frank Sasaki Jr. and Doris.

Immediate family and close friends will gather to honor Lori with a Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local animal rescue organization, honoring Lori's lifelong commitment to caring for animals.
