John Crane

December 8, 1956 - July 26, 2025

John Hannan Crane, 68, passed away on July 26, 2025, in Stockton, California.

Born on December 8, 1956, John graduated from Washington State University before building a career rooted in dedication and hard work. He spent many years working for Lowe's and also ran his own landscape business serving the Stockton and Lodi communities.

John was a quiet man who found his greatest joy in his family. He was deeply proud of his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world. His devotion to those he loved and his loyalty to friends left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Sean Crane (Gina), daughter Brittany Crane Baron (Jeff), and his beloved grandchildren Piper and Rory Crane, and Callahan and Lily Baron. He is also survived by his stepmother Helen Crane and aunt Evelyn Crane; siblings Steven Crane, Candy Crane, Sandy Crane, Tammy Houser (Eric), Rick Verber (Luwanna), and Tori Verber Salazar (Joe); as well as many nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Bernice Crane.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to those he held dear.

Alberta Jeanne Heistand Godbey
February 11, 1934 - July 26, 2025

Jeanne - passed away on July 26, 2025. She was born February 11, 1934, in San Francisco California to Beatrice Emily Block Heistand and Albert Rex Heistand.

She was preceded in death by her son Albert Francis; her granddaughter Tonya; her siblings Gail Emroy Heistand, Marcia Claire Heistand Howell and Antone Roger Andrade.

Jeanne was a mother to Albert Francis, Suzanne Jeanne, Lynda Anne and Eugene Willis; grandmother to Albert Francis Quadros Jr., Emily Quadros and Cassie Attkisson, Lacey and Nicholas Koch; and great -grandmother to Lukas and Dean Quadros, Jeremy, Angel and Faith Quadros, William and Logan Attkisson, Matthew and Gabriella Koch.

She spent her early years in San Gregorio, California, where she developed a strong appreciation for life on a ranch and became someone who cared deeply for animals. She later moved to Santa Cruz, California, where she lived for many years and worked as woman in electronics in the 1960's and 1970's. It was there she met her late husband, Patrick "Pat" Noonan Godbey. They shared a love for the ocean and together, served as entrepreneurs - owning fish stores, an electrical contracting business and pursed other ventures. Later they relocated to Stockton, California, where they remained for the remainder of their years, becoming part of an extended blended family.

Jeanne was fiercely independent, practical and self-reliant, with a sharp wit and a memory her family relied on for details others overlooked. She spent time outdoors when she could, enjoying gardening, sewing, and crafts, and maintained that lifelong connection to animal's rooted in her early ranch life. She leaves behind family and friends who respected her steadiness, competence and presence.

Keith Sperry

April 1, 1960 - July 25, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Edward Sperry of Lodi, California. He passed on July 25, 2025, at the age of 65. Keith was born in Stockton, CA. on April 1, 1960. Keith grew up on his parent’s farm and attended Linden schools. He received an AA from Delta College and a BS from San Jose State University in Industrial Technology. Keith retired from the San Joaquin County Assessor’s Office. Keith met and fell in love with his lifelong spouse, friend and confidant Bianca Barrett at the family ranch, Sperry Ranch Stables. They were married June 27, 1992, two years from their first date. Together 35 years and during those he was involved in numerous equine clubs, shows and other equine activities from announcing shows to running the kitchen. During this time Keith even found time to show his own horse, Dennis. He enjoyed model railroading, model cars and gardening. Keith loved his dogs and helped rescue many strays from the street. Keith and Bianca enjoyed road trips for vacations or spending as much time at Disneyland as possible. Keith and his son Rowdy went on many camping trips, spent time going to 99 Speedway and at local baseball and hockey games. Keith was an excellent tutor for Rowdy in fishing, football and help with school.

Keith is survived by Bianca and Rowdy Sperry. His beloved parents, George and Marlene Sperry. His much-loved mother-in-law, Beatrice Barrett. Paul and Mary Sperry, brother and sister-in-law, and their children and grandchildren. Steve and Jennifer Sperry, brother and sister-in-law, their children and grandchild. Leslie and Richard Bell, sister and brother-in-law, their children and grandchildren. Kurt and Melody Barrett, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, their children and grandchildren. Ted Barrett, brother-in- law. Preceded in death by Alex Barrett, father-in-law. Preceded in death by his twin brother Kenneth (Ken) Sperry.

Larry Salvail

October 19, 1938 - July 21, 2025

Larry L. Salvail, 86, passed from this life peacefully on July 21, 2025 at his home in Ione, CA surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 19, 1938 in Oakland, CA to parents Eugene and Mildred and older brother to Glenn.

Dearly beloved husband of Dolores Salvail, loving father to Ken Salvail and Tina (Salvail) Trevarthen and her husband Mearl; grandfather to Lauren, Aarron, Adrian and Andrew and a great grandfather.

He joined the Navy in 1956 and served in the Pacific fleet with honor and distinction. His tour took him across the equator and into Asia and New Zealand.

After his military service, he met his wife Dolores on a blind date and they married in 1961. They were together in everything they did for 64 years. Larry owned his own window covering business for over 32 years and retired to Ione, CA

He loved going camping and exploring the country in their RV and joined a RV club that went on monthly outings. His love of garden railroad trains resulted in a new business of making wood buildings for garden railroad layouts. He also joined a RC airplane club and enjoyed flying his RC planes.

Larry will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, dedication to his family and friends, and an amazing sense of humor. Larry's legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

SERVICE:
Family and friends are invited to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ione, CA on August 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass with a reception following in the church hall. The family encourages all guests to wear bright colors and bring their favorite stories of Larry to share.

Randy Bradley

Randy Eugene Bradley
December 18, 1954 – July 19, 2025

Randy Eugene Bradley strutted out of this world on his own terms on July 19, 2025, at home, with his favorite music playing and his beloved dog Champ faithfully by his side. He was 70 years old, though age never seemed to stick to him quite right. Randy lived a life that could never be contained by a calendar—or a rulebook.

A man of great talent, big laughs, and even bigger love, Randy was a renegade soul with music in his veins. Whether wailing on the harmonica, strumming the guitar, or quoting Bob Dylan like scripture, he lived and breathed sound. From Hank Williams to the Grateful Dead to Bob Marley and the blues, Randy’s taste was as untamed as his spirit. His kids knew; if the music was on, life was good—and in Randy’s world, life was always a little better when shared through song.

He had a heart as wide as the ocean and a habit of turning his home into what can only be described as a treasure hunter’s dream—or nightmare, depending on the day. In the aftermath, he sent his kids on an epic scavenger hunt through mountains of collected odds and ends, each item leaving us wondering, “What in the world was he planning to do with this?” He left us with memories, mysteries, and a lifetime supply of... stuff. You’re welcome, kids.

He was a proud graduate of the School of Hard Knocks, and—though he spent some time at government-sponsored resorts that he definitely didn’t recommend—he never let anything dull his shine. Street smart, fiercely independent, and allergic to stress, Randy lived by one rule only: his own. He made peace with the world on his terms, always found a way to hustle, and could charm just about anyone.

Randy was a true original. A fashion icon in suspenders, a black fedora, and Converse shoes (until that morphed into cowboy boots or moccasins), he looked out for everyone—including the neighborhood cats, who still expect dinner on the porch every night.

He is survived by his devoted children: twin daughters Kari Bradley and Amber Bradley, and his son Jaymes Bradley, who carry on his wit, warmth, and well-cultivated taste in tunes. He also leaves behind his four-legged best friend, Champ, now in the loving care of his kids. His presence in their lives was so strong that people still won’t stop coming by to check on him.

Randy Bradley lived a rock and roll kind of life. A little wild, a little sweet, and totally unforgettable. He may have moved on from this world, but his stories, laughter, music, and the unconditional love he gave live on—loud and clear—in the hearts of those lucky enough to know him.

Alma M. Wagner

Alma M. Wagner
April 18, 1924 - July 17, 2025
101 years

Alma was born to Russell and Elna French in Oakland, California. She spent her early years in Albany and moved to Lodi when she was a senior in high school attending, Lodi High. Shortly after graduating, Alma met Harry Wagner. They married in 1943 and were together until his passing 72 years later. Their family grew with the addition of a daughter, Judy and a son, Jim. In 1950 the Wagners moved to Linden, to Alma’s grandmother’s ranch, where she remained until her passing.

Alma worked for Farmers and Merchants Bank for 40 years, 38 of those in Linden. She still found time to volunteer on various boards and committees in the community. She served on the Board of Directors for the Linden/Peters Chamber of Commerce and the Linden Cemetery Association. She was a member of San Joaquin Historical Society, the Linden Garden Club and the Cherry Festival Committee. Alma was also a member of the Opal Rebekah Lodge #73 and the Order of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron, receiving her 50 year membership pin in 1999. One of Alma’s greatest delights was being called “Mom” by the many young women that she mentored in her role as Mother Advisor of the Linden Rainbow Assembly #120. In return for her dedication to their community, she and Harry were awarded the 1979 Citizens Achievement Award sponsored by the Linden Lions Club. Alma was also an avid San Francisco Giants and 49er fan. She always had the full rosters in front of her to follow her favorite players, never missing a game on t.v.

Alma would say that her family was her greatest joy. She was a loving and supportive Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to her son Jim and daughter-in-law Fran, granddaughters Dayna (Jason) Loeliger and Jamie Wagner as well as great-grandchildren Ethan and Paige Loeliger. The Wagner Ranch hosted several family get-togethers over the years, which included the many nieces, nephews and cousins of the Wagners. Alma is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Harry, her husband of 72 years and their daughter Judy. We will miss her beautiful smile but her spirit continues in the love and memories she leaves behind. We are eternally grateful to have had her in our lives.

Our family extends a heartfelt thanks to her care giver Jimmy Perez for his compassionate and loving care for both Alma and Harry. He was our godsend for thirteen wonderful years and a true member of the Wagner family. We would also like to thank Yvonne Villarreal, Herminia Robles and Bristol Hospice for the love and care they provided to Alma and our family.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 23, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Linden United Methodist Church Mission Hall, 19147 St. Rte. 26, Linden California.
