Jose Limas

February 17, 1944 - December 9, 2025

Jose Limas, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, and distinguished veteran, passed away on December 9, 2025, and entered his eternal rest in heaven. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and honorable leadership that will be forever remembered by all who knew him.

 Born in Comstock, TX to Jose and Juana Limas on February 17, 1944, Jose along with his family moved to California in 1957.

He proudly entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. After retiring from the Army National Guard Jose went to work as an aircraft maintenance crewman in Fort Lewis, Washington.

He was proud of his military service, and was a life member of the VFW Post 52 in Stockton, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a brother Hermilo Limas, and stepson Lil Joe Rodriguez.

Jose’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife JoAnne Limas, stepchildren Anthony Rodriguez, JoAnne Rodriguez (Alfred), Yolanda Garcia (Michael) and daughter Andrea Moreno (Ernesto), grandchildren Stephanie, Alicia, Joseph, Angelo, Victoria, Marissa, and Jacob, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Though his watch on earth has ended, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.

VISITATION
A visitation will be held from 9:00am - 10:00am on Monday, December 29th, 2025 at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.

SERVICE
A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, December 29th, 2025 at the Vineyard Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, located at 14165 N. Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240.
