Dolores Jean (Delucchi) Artemenko of Stockton, California, passed away on April 9,
2025. She was born in Stockton to Frank and Julia Delucchi. Dolores grew up in
Linden, California, helping her father on the ranch while her brother was away during
WWII. She graduated from Linden High School in 1949.
Dolly (as she was known by her family and friends) worked for Pacific Bell in Los
Angeles in the 1950’s. She later returned to San Joaquin County where she worked for
Morris Brothers in Stockton, Stockton Police Department, and the State of California
Department of Agriculture. She retired from the State of California in 1991.
She was introduced to Robert Artemenko by a friend, and Bob and Dolly were married
on August 29, 1959. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and true matriarch for
the family. Dolly had a love for gardening. She and Robert grew orchids for many years
and was active in the San Joaquin Orchid Society. She was a talented cook and baker.
She loved teaching her grandchildren to bake, especially how to make biscotti. For
many years she knitted baby caps for the newborns at San Joaquin General Hospital. In
her later years, she loved her Tuesday afternoon group of lady knitters at Lodi’s
Panera’s.
Dolly is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Robert) Waugh; granddaughter Caitlin
(Brandon) Skinner; grandson Dylan (Sadie) Waugh; niece Julie (Paul) Mazzilli; adopted
grandson Curtis (Holly) Molen and her greatest joy, great grandson Luca Waugh.
