Linda Lucille Leandro, lovingly known to family and friends as “Linda,” passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, in Stockton, California, at the age of 82, following complications from a heart condition.
Born in Delano, California, on August 12,1942, Linda was the daughter of Russell and Lois King of Stockton, sisters Dorothy fly of Harrison Arkansas, Janice and Don Adams of Fortun California. Daughter Darleen and Jessie Rodriguez of Stockton, preceded in death Micheal Walter of Stockton, Jeffery and Cheryl Walter of Valley Springs, and Taffie Walter of Stockton. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Linda’s Straightforward manner and no- nonsense approach to life were instantly recognizable and endeared to her those who knew her best. Graduating from Edison High school in Stockton in 1960, Linda embarked on a fulfilling career path. In the late 1970’s she worked for Stockton Credit bureau. Later she dedicated over 25 years of devoted service to St Joseph’s Medical Center where she eventually retired. Linda enjoyed spending her time cooking, crocheting, knitting, ceramic, and reading romance novels. After retirement, she found joy and companionship caring for her beloved pets, CeCe and Susie.
She will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.
SERVICE
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at the Chapel of Flowers in Cherokee Memorial Park, located off Highway 99 at Harney Lane, Lodi CA, 95240.
