Joseph Francis Fischer

OBITUARY
Joseph (Joe) Fischer, 75, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born December 23, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA, son of Julia and Albert Fischer. On March 11, 1989 he married Joyce Lauder in Stockton, CA.
He graduated from UCLA with a PHD in Pharmacology in 1977. He also attended the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA graduating with his Doctor of Pharmacy.
He loved boating and was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for 20 years.
He retired from UC Davis in 2015 and spent his retirement traveling with his wife and RVing.
He leaves behind his wife of 37 years. Also survived by several brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law plus numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and his in-laws, Gordon and LaVerne Lauder. His brother, Anthony, and two sisters, Joann and Annabell, also preceded him in death.
There will be no service as per his request. He will be interned at a later date at White Pine Cemetery, Webster, WI.
