OBITUARY

Phillip Michael Kudenov, 74, entered in to rest surrounded by the love of his family.  He leaves behind a legacy of profound devotion, hard work, and deep integrity.

Born in Lynwood, California, to Bill and Marian Kudenov, Phillip grew up as the youngest of four brothers.  A competitive swimmer and Eagle Scout, he graduated from Fremont High School in 1970 before studying at UC Berkeley.

In 1982, Phillip married Renie, beginning a beautiful 44-year journey together.  Phillip immediately embraced his role as a devoted father to his two sons, Chris and Ray.

A resident of Morada for 35 years, and recently of Lodi.  Phillip was a true provider and avid outdoorsman.  He found great joy in cooking for family gatherings, deep sea fishing, and hunting with his sons and grandchildren.

He set the gold standard for what it means to be a husband, father, grandfather, and man of faith.  He will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of his family.

Phillip is survived by his beloved wife; Renie; his sons, Ray and Chris (wife, Vanessa); grandchildren, Zach, Christopher (wife, Giselle), Angelique, Madison, and Mia; brothers, Jerry (wife, Kathy) and Bill (wife, Sandee); and a large, loving extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Marian; brother, Jim Kudenov; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Rose Padilla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Linden; 18633 E. Front Street, Linden, CA  95236.  Burial is private.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
