Jerry Hauan

Jerry Daniel Hauan
May 9, 1956 - January 12, 2026

Jerry Hauan passed on January 12th, 2026. He was born on May 9th, 1956, in Pittsburg, California, and grew up in Bethel Island, California. In 1974, he graduated from Liberty Union High School in Brentwood, CA. He then attended San Francisco State University, graduating with a degree in International Relations in 1980. Jerry was actively involved in DeMolay, a Masonic affiliated youth group for young men, from his teens to young adulthood. After joining and holding several offices he rose to serve Antioch Chapter as Master Counselor and eventually served at the Divisional level as Master Counselor of the East Bay DeMolay Association. As a young adult, Jerry continued to expand his beliefs and service to Freemasonry by becoming a Mason himself. In order to journey deeper into the craft he also became a member of the Scottish Rite or a 32 degree Mason. As a young man, he continued his involvement in freemasonry by joining the organization. Jerry always believed in seeking the truth in all things, that beyond the noise, within the grey, lies reality. Masonry was foundational in fostering and developing these core beliefs. It was this involvement in DeMolay and Masonry that allowed him to meet his lifelong group of friends, The Whizzers. Although Jerry loved International Relations, his drive to be in charge of his own future won out, and he started his specialty contracting business, JD Specialties, in 1990, retiring in 2024. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Byer-Hauan; son, William Hauan; brothers, Alan Hauan (Victoria) and Erik Hauan; and sister, Lynne Olcomendy (David).

Friends and family are invited to his Celebration of Life on Thursday, February 19th at 1:00PM at Cherokee Memorial and Funeral Home, Lodi, CA. Reception following at Woodbridge Country Club, Woodbridge, CA. In place of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.

Jerry’s calming, kind, and steadfast nature offered guidance, friendship, light, and a port in any storm to those around him. He will be loved and missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Gail Reed Breece

January 27, 1951 - January 10, 2026

Gail was born in Sacramento, CA to Rosemary and Calvin Reed. She earned a Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Sacramento State University in 1974 and a Master’s from Humboldt State University in 1975. She dedicated her career to working as a Speech Therapist at California public schools, helping her students overcome speech challenges so they could be better understood. She believed in the power of education to uplift and transform lives.

Being a teacher was not just her profession, but an extension of who she was—patient, encouraging, and compassionate. She taught far beyond the classroom, shaping lives through quiet strength, gentle guidance, and an unwavering belief in others. The lessons she gave, rooted in care and curiosity, live on in how her children and her students love, teach, and try to leave the world better than they found it.

In 1977, she married Steven Breece, the love of her life. Together, they raised five daughters—Andrea, Katherine, Victoria, Elizabeth and Samantha—and later welcomed eight grandchildren, of whom she was deeply proud. After losing her daughter Katherine in 2014 and her husband Steven in 2015, Gail remained a source of love and support for her family.

Gail was warm and loving, known for her big smile, her laugh, her generous encouragement and belief in others. A lifelong Californian, she enjoyed swimming, skiing, and nature walks. She loved artichokes, Tootsie Rolls, hot chocolate, romantic comedies, and animals. She was always open to trying new things and learning, embodying the spirit of both teacher and student throughout her life.

In her final two years, Gail faced dementia with grace and resilience. She is now at peace and reunited with her husband Steven, her daughter Katherine, her parents Rosemary and Calvin, and her siblings.

She is survived by daughters Andrea, Victoria and husband Dmitry, Elizabeth and husband Joe, and Samantha; grandchildren Bailey, Bradley, Calvin, Max, Bridget, Steven, Weston and John, and many other loving family members, friends and neighbors.

August 13, 1952 - January 5, 2026

OBITUARY

Charles Glenn Metcalf, known to family and friends simply as Glenn, was born in 1952 in Stockton, California, where he also spent much of his life. Glenn passed away surrounded by the legacy of a life defined by hard work, the outdoors, and deep love for his family.

Glenn grew up in Stockton and developed an early appreciation for working with his hands and spending time outside. A skilled welder and mechanic, he built a long and respected career in the trades. Over the years, he worked for D&V Machine Shop, the Fremont NUMMI Toyota Plant, and Simplot, earning the admiration of coworkers for his dedication, mechanical knowledge, and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Glenn found his greatest joy outdoors. He loved hunting and spending time in nature, pursuits that reflected his patience, self-reliance, and appreciation for the simple things in life. He was also deeply committed to his community, especially its youth. Glenn proudly coached the youth scholastic trap league at Stockton Gun and Bocce, where he shared not only skills but also mentorship, discipline, and encouragement.

Above all else, Glenn cherished time with his children. Being a father was one of his greatest sources of pride, and he valued every moment spent together — whether outdoors, at the range, or simply enjoying each other’s company.

Lori Diane Littleton

Lori Diane Littleton
September 14, 1954 - January 5, 2026

Lori Diane Littleton, known affectionately as Lori to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Marshall, Texas, at the age of 71. Born on September 14, 1954, in the beautiful town of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, Lori’s life was defined by her unwavering kindness, her passion for history, and her love for her family and friends.

Lori’s life was a testament to her character; she lived her life to the fullest and had the beautiful gift of gab. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with others and make them feel like family. She was very passionate about calling her friends and family regularly to check in on them and share about all current life events.

Being an adoptee, herself, she became an avid researcher of genealogy. Lori dedicated countless hours to helping adoptive families reunite, a testament to her compassionate spirit. She had a profound respect for the past and worked tirelessly to preserve local history. Lori was particularly involved in her neighborhood’s history and served with enthusiasm on her Homeowners’ Association. Her own home, a historical gem, was the subject of her most recent research and was just finishing her home’s restoration. Any chance she got, she loved to share new discoveries about its rich background and the status of her latest project with anyone who showed interest.

Lori’s love for people was matched by her love for adventure. She organized many family trips to explore new caves, museums, and state parks. An avid camper and water skier during her youth, she shared many fond memories of camping and skiing on Lake Don Pedro with her parents John and Leora Novak and her older sister Jonelle. The Novak/Seibel family was passionate about family reunions in Lodi. Later in life she discovered cruising and would share her adventures captured in her scrap books with anyone who had time to sit and listen.

As we bid farewell to Lori Diane Littleton, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. She was a friend to everyone, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Lori’s life was a journey of love, laughter, and learning, and her story will be told with fondness and admiration for generations to come. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of her family and friends, and she will be profoundly missed.

Lori was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Littleton, her natural ½ sister, Gerri-Gay Noland, adopted sister, Jonelle Rissel and natural sister, Cindy Hartley as well as her beloved parents John and Leora Novak. She is survived by her ½ sister, Diana Patton, her daughter Tami McCallum and husband Mark, her beloved grandchildren, Elijah and Ella Jameson as well as her estranged daughter Wendy Sager and her husband Todd.
